In this endeavor, HASC Center encourages all individuals to maximize their dreams and become productive members of the community. About the Program: As a Residential staff member, you will provide support to a group of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will foster increased socialization, skill building, community safety, and overall independence skills while assisting them in developing independence and life skills. Location: Brooklyn, NY Schedule: (Shabbos Shift) Friday-Sunday 1pm - 9am Responsibilities: Be familiar with individual's IPOP, Life Plan, Staff Action Plan, Behavior Plan, etc.in order to understand how care is managed. Assist individuals with ADL and other independent living skills in accordance with plan documents. This assistance may take the form of full support, partial support or verbal prompting, as well as behavioral interventions as indicated in the behavior management plan. These tasks may include grooming, toileting, showering, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, etc. all according to the support needs of each individual being supported. Promote and advocate for individualized services and implementation according to the outlined plan. Ability to follow a computer documentation program, in order to chart outcomes and observations including but not limited to staff action plans, behavior data, sleep charts, log books, etc. Commit to person-centered supports and honor the personality, preferences, culture and strengths of the individual. Ensure protective oversight is provided to individuals in accordance with their Plan of Protective Oversight. Ability to move and stand for prolonged periods and frequently perform physically demanding tasks including: (and then use the list that's already there) Accompany individuals on community outings. Communicate with other program staff via the communications log book and attendance at staff meetings. Work collaboratively with other members of staff in maintaining a positive, encouraging environment to support the individuals. Conduct fire drills and document results in accordance with supervisor's instructions. Attend staff meetings and trainings on an on-going basis to increase knowledge of the individuals and best practices. Take all required trainings and maintain all certifications and driving authorization. Ability to push people in wheelchairs. Adhere to all HASC Center policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure manual, included but not limited to, maintaining a Kosher home environment along with a Jewish environment as our individuals expect. A residential support professional may be required to go to the hospital in an emergency. Perform additional duties as they exist or may change as assigned by supervisor. Encourage and accompany individuals to attend (Shabbos Davening) Sabbath Prayers. Respecting the religious needs of the individuals, in providing a Shabbos environment that is festive and suitable to the occasion. Job Description AHRC New York City is seeking a Full Time Social Worker to work in the agency's Department of Family and Clinical Services. The Department of Family and Clinical Services operates two primary outpatient clinics, one in Manhattan and one in the Bronx, which provide services at satellite locations and telehealth throughout the five boroughs. Our team is comprised of psychologists, social workers, and rehab service professionals who have a passion for their work. Under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, the Social Worker will provide psychosocial assessment and psychotherapy treatment for the Developmental Disabilities population. Psychotherapy is provided for persons with Developmental Disabilities who have a co-occurring psychiatric condition. Psychotherapy is conducted with diverse clients across their lifespans, including children/adolescents, adults, families, and groups. Collateral counseling is provided for their families. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Develop project schedules, timelines, and budgets. Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations, including assessing project safety and compliance with environmental regulations. Communicate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, as well as collaborate with other departments and teams, to ensure overall project success. Collaborate with agency's department directors and program managers to prepare physical plant profiles. Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and other project-related materials. Maintain real property database. Collaborate with stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, blockers, success measures, and estimated resources needed. Prepare architectural and construction contracts and disseminate for approval signature and distribution. Review and approve vouchers and ensure processing and tracking of payments for project expenditures. Assists in business development efforts to create project proposals, RFPs, estimates, and schedules. Maintains records of prospective projects requiring follow-up site visits. Assists entire team under Assoc. VP, Design, Construction and Capital. Performs related duties as required. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or relevant field strongly preferred. Longstanding and proven experience in facility management and/or construction development will be considered in lieu of academic requirement. In-depth understanding and demonstrated competency in construction procedures and material and project management principles, and ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations, property management procedures and related legal requirements, and quality and health and safety standards. Expertise in use of Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint). Experience in project management software and mapping software a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills and highly detailed-oriented, with specific focus on ensuring and maintaining accuracy in record keeping. Ability to plan and see the “big picture” and problem-solve quickly as needed. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, with proven leadership skills and ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with board members, colleagues, consultants, the public, and program consumers. Able to successfully and consistently navigate in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated passion for mission of the agency.
