This group works on design-build projects in the manufacturing, aviation, federal, and education markets. In this role, you are responsible for assigned project designs, coordination, client communications, and associated construction administration. You will also be responsible for supervising team members assigned to projects, ensuring staff utilization, overseeing the work performed by the assigned staff, managing the project budget, and managing the project schedule. Your responsibilities will include: * Design interior lighting, exterior lighting, power distribution, grounding, lightning protection, telecommunications, and security * Document calculations reflecting design compliance with code and client-specific design requirements * Perform quality control reviews of documents including plans, specifications, and design calculations * Work with Project Managers to ensure that the project schedule is met and that complete documents are provided for each submission * Review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals * Provide coaching/mentoring of assigned staff To thrive in this role, you will need: * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university * Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) * 8+ years of electrical design experience * Revit experience preferred * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Able to excel in a fast-paced team environment At Haskell, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and more. The senior electrical designer interprets electrical design requirements and designs electrical systems to the highest quality. position details/responsibilities… Coordinate the best design solution by applying industry knowledge while considering customer needs and budgeting requirements. Act as primary lead and provide technical assistance for multiple projects during bidding, design, permitting and construction. Provide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designs. Prepare detailed drawings/models for a project using the application of theoretical and practical design knowledge. Provide design direction and support to all team members. Communicate with clients, consultants, project personnel and inspecting authorities. here's what we're looking for… Knowledge and experience with electrical equipment and installation required, bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred. 10+ years of directly related experience. Must possess strong electrical design fundamentals, including a background and knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC and life safety codes. CADD experience preferred, but not required. Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid work environment. Must be detail oriented and quality driven. Able to analyze and resolve problems at both a strategic and a functional level. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
