Hatch is seeking a highly motivated and accomplished Integrated and Remote Operation Centers (IROC) Senior Manager to join our Digital team in the USA. The IROC Senior Manager will report to the Digital Principal Mining & Metals USA and be responsible for:
Lead and deliver IROC related engagements predominantly in the USA.
Co-develop the broader IROC capability in the region,
Collaborate closely with the Global IROC solution team to Contribute to the overall strategy and direction for the development of the IROC offering(s).
Functional Tasks:
This role will form part of the Digital USA Delivery Team. The specific functional tasks will include:
Actively deliver IROC related engagements by providing domain expertise. Whether that be through client engagement, development of project artefacts, review of deliverables or coaching of the project team.
Coach and develop people in the region, imparting your IROC domain expertise to build a local team who is knowledgeable in IROC concepts and best practice.
Pursue, nurture and leverage key internal relationships critical for the practice's success. Evangelize relentlessly.
Collaborate with the global IROC solution team to shape the development of repeatable offerings that are relevant to the region.
Champion the global IROC offerings in the region to ensure that they are leveraged for client engagements, providing feedback and continuous improvement inputs.
Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to ensure consistency of approach
Remain abreast of the industry, competitors and technology trends and align our services to market needs. Consider alliances, investment opportunities and acquisitions to improve market position and grow revenue.
Establish Hatch's eminence in the market through delivery of conference presentations, participation in industry forums, publication of white papers and other thought leadership articles.
Experience and skills important for the role:
5-8 years of management consulting or relevant industry and domain experience
Have had senior roles in either the implementation or operation of IROCs in the mining, metals, or energy industries.
Deep knowledge of how a wholistic design approach (across people, process, technology, and facilities) can be best applied to deliver maximum value to our clients.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience, an MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree is advantageous
Be able to articulate a vision for the next generation of digitally enabled IROCs and the associated value proposition for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
Planning and Setup
Assist with identification and customization of design tools as it relates to any engagement specific deviations.
Assess, pilot, and implement mass data handling and automation opportunities associated with design tools as well as associated interfacing.
Configure and maintain the design tools to meet engineering and design standards
(e.g. Asset tagging, document numbering) including geo-coordinate and geographical information system (GIS) requirements, Information Container Breakdown Structure (ICBS) and other classification systems to align with the federation strategy.
Prepare and deliver onboarding, knowledge, and skills training materials for design tool processes and procedures, as it relates to deviations to the standard Hatch build.
Set up, configure, and manage design tool templates, managed workspaces (including seed files), and object libraries.
Execution and Control
Coordinate technical support for Design tools.
Coordinate design file conversion and language translation processes based on discipline and stakeholder requirements.
Manage design tool access and permissions through security model.
Close-out and Improvement
Assist with (progressive) archiving and handover of design files and data.
Assist with close-out of project information in Hatch Design Tools.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
A recognized degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited College or University
3 - 5 years of experience in Information Technology or Drafting/Design, ideally in an Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Management (EPCM) environment
Excellent knowledge of automation and data modeling, systems and data integration, validation, and verification
Advanced knowledge of either Bentley MicroStation or Autodesk AutoCAD

The Superintendent will be responsible for:

* Record and report defects;
* Record and track progress, quantities, schedule and cost.
* The Construction Supervisor must be sufficiently experienced in construction work packages including:
* Piping systems installation and testing;
* Mechanical systems installation and testing;
* Steel structures;
* Quality and completion systems;
* Codes and regulations pertaining to safety, piping and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the management of safety on site including the safety of the site work force, safety of the permanent works and the safety of property;

Hatch is seeking a Procurement Manager. This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Procurement Manager is involved in a project from the proposal/study (FEL1, FEL2 and FEL3) phases up to the project close-out and handover of the project execution phase. The major interfaces are with project management, engineering, project controls and construction management to ensure a cross functional implementation of materials management and contracts management processes.

Responsible for developing and promoting positive working relationships with present and future Clients.
Provides supervision, training and assistance to all procurement team members across Contracting, Purchasing, Expediting, Vendor Quality Surveillance, Logistics and Site Materials Control disciplines; promotes and maintains a healthy and harmonious work environment.

Understands and manages the procurement and project strategies in order to provide the best outcomes in terms of scope, cost and time.

Performs continuous self-audits to ensure compliance with guidelines and procedures.
Conducts regular interval meetings with team members to discuss status quo; identifies and resolves all issues within the team.
Acts as primary communication resource within the project regarding procurement issues.
Foresees potential problems, slippage or delays and pro-actively implements corrective measures to resolve the issues or mitigates the impact thereof.
Provides reporting and updates to the client, the Project Manager and the Procurement Hub Lead on a regular basis.
Plans, controls and monitors procurement activities in accordance with the approved project schedule.
Ensures functional direction on all procurement issues, including site construction contract issues, during contract administration and closeout.
Performs resource planning, which includes man-hour allocation and management.
Ensures efficient and correct usage of Procurement Management Systems and Document Management Systems.
Where required, performs site visits to oversee the procurement/commercial activities or resolve issues arising on the project; maintains a presence both on site and in home/execution office. In specific cases, Procurement Manager may be based at site during the construction phase.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Extensive experience on an EPCM project environment with capital projects, specifically in a management role.
Mega project procurement management experience (US$1 billion or more).
Related training in Contracts/Legal as well as general project and management related training.
Experience with drafting of commercial terms and conditions and an understanding of accompanying legal implications.
Proficient negotiation skills.
Materials purchasing, contract formation, expediting, logistics, materials management, and site materials control experience.
Experience with different types of contracts formation: lump sum, LSTK, BOO, GMAX, unit rate, T&M, cost plus fixed fee, and other contractor at risk contract types.

The Lead Structural Designer is responsible for the supervision and coordination of the production of concrete and steel 3D models and 2D deliverables in accordance with the project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Structural Engineer. The Lead Structural Designer is required to apply specialized and/or advanced modeling and/or drawing techniques in order to produce timely deliverables to meet project schedule.
The Lead Structural Designer supervises and coordinates a wide range of projects encompassing all structural concrete and steel structures in a wide range of industries such as mining, heavy industrial and infrastructure. Activities include the coordination of concrete and steel modeling for both front end planning studies and the detailed engineering phase for multidisciplinary projects.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervise and coordinate the work of the designers and senior designers in the preparation of models and contract drawings, record keeping and other statistical work
* Supervise, produce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using 3D CAD software as required
* Coordinate layout work and design details and checking prior to release
* Create and update project History files and drawing files/folders
* Supervise coordination with designers and engineers of other disciplines and participate in formal engineering review processes in conjunction with Design Coordinator
* Multi-discipline coordination and preparation of design concepts for internal and client review in conjunction with Design Coordinator
* Ensure coordination with Design Coordinator for clash detection and project deliverables
* In conjunction with engineering staff, produce detailed engineering models, engineering drawings and documentation for identified and approved concepts/projects
* Ensure all discipline workflows are maintained and coordinate between engineers and designers and ensure all designers are adequately trained in all tools used to produce deliverables
* Ensure all designs follow appropriate safety in design principles with regards to access and egress, constructability and clean plant design
* Ensure quality of all models and drawings including accuracy of models and layout of drawings
* Assist Lead Structural Engineer with planning and maintaining modeling/drafting schedules and budgets.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Associates Degree or equivalent (civil/structural)
* Minimum 7 years of experience in 2D design and 3D structural modeling with AutoDesk software, including, but not limited to AutoCAD, Revit and Civil 3D. Experience with Bentley products (Aecosim, Open Building, Microstation) is a plus
* Experience with large concrete and steel structures is required
* Experience in the heavy industral industry is preferred
* Must function independently with minimal supervision in a multi-discipline team setting
* Must mentor / assist on the job training of designers
* Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues
* Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Successful candidates will ensure best practices are implemented by contractors in support of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and project/business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate construction projects from start to finish while remaining in compliance with safety regulations, project schedule, drawing specifications, quality guidelines and budget;

Assist General Superintendent/Construction Manager with planning and scheduling to facilitate timely and cost-effective execution of contractor scope;

Ensure construction conforms to the drawings/specifications and construction best practices are followed by assigned contractors;
Ensure efficient use of materials and equipment by assigned contractors;
Monitor contractors' performance throughout the project and offer corrective solutions (where required/agreed) in consultation with General Superintendent/Construction Manager;
Assist project team with the reviews/estimates of contractor extras, track performance during execution of additional scope;
Monitor the 3 week look-ahead schedules submitted by Contractors through execution and report deviations to the General Superintendent/Construction Manager;
Submit daily progress reports to the General Superintendent outlining contractor progress, achievements, issues/concerns and other relevant information as required by management;
Ensure contractors create/maintain deficiency lists and complete items prior to handover to commissioning;
Ensure assigned contractors complete turnover documentation in a timely manner, review/accept ITPs, check sheets and QVDs prior to system handover to commissioning;
Other assigned duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Technical Engineering Diploma or Journeyperson certification with 5+ years of construction supervisory/management experience in an industrial setting required;
Previous experience in a Civil/Structural/Architectural Superintendent role is required;
Previous computer experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines;
Understanding of construction budgets;

The Engineering Manager is responsible for all engineering and design activities on the engagement and assists the Project Manager.

The Engineering Manager reports to the Project Manager and provides direction to Area Engineers and Discipline Leads and Discipline Engineers on engineering related matters.
Key Responsibilities
The Engineering Manager has the following key responsibilities in engagement planning, setup and execution:
Planning
Planning is part of the engagement control baseline and documented in the client agreement. The Engineering Manager needs to ensure with Project Management, that the following planning baseline information is in place and reflected in the Proposal, Engagement Work Plan or Engineering Execution Plan:
• Scope of engineering services defined as part of the engagement work plan or engineering execution plan
• Scope of facilities
• Roles Assignment (RACI) matrix for engineering scope of services
• Engagement work package (EWP) register with budget, schedule and scope that aligns with scope of engineering services and scope of facilities• Deliverables list and association of deliverables with EWPs
• Engineering schedule and resource plan at EWP level, aligned with overall project master schedule. Each EWP must be assigned with plan start and end dates, and
sequenced with critical multi-disciplinary, vendor and client input dependencies
• Engineering resource plan at EWP level, aligned with schedule and overall project budget
• Defined Global Delivery Work Plan (e.g. what disciplines are done where, is it fully integrated teams working across all areas of the plant or are vertical packages being handed over to different execution offices, etc.)
• Engineering training plan with budget
• Client requirements which can include asset tagging, design, specifications, approval process, handover, CAD and coordinate system requirements when applicable
• Multi-disciplinary engineering workflows and methodologies documented in the engagement workplan or engineering execution plan
• Vendor package register requiring engineering input, defined including vendor scope of works, technical adjudication, technical quality assessment, factory acceptance, etc.
• Integrated engineering systems plan (feeding into engagement Digital Delivery Plan)
• Engagement procedures manual.
The Engineering Manager needs to ensure the following setup processes are in place and completed in required timeframe:
• Work Break Structure (WBS) with EWPs
• Mobilization and onboarding of engineering resources
• Design tools as identified in engineering plan (including 3D clash detection), in coordination with the IM/PAT team
• Baselining of the engineering schedule
• Release of engineering EWPs and Timesheet Charge Codes for the first period of the engagement
• Facilitation of establishment and/or updating of design criteria and standards, also ensuring consistent use of codes and standards, regulatory requirements, units of measure, etc. by all disciplines
The Engineering Manager needs to communicate the baseline information to the engineering team and relevant stakeholders including the following:
• To the regional engineering leads, engineering resource requirements and schedule
• EWP breakdown including budgets, schedule and deliverables• To the engagement discipline leads and engineering team:
- Engagement workplan or engineering execution plan
- Engagement procedures manual
- Statement that all deliverables are required to be formally checked and recorded.
Execution
The Engineering Manager needs to:
• Contribute to the development of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) together with the project leadership team (including procurement, project controls, construction, and commissioning), and allocate roles and responsibilities.• Coordinate the engineering budget for the next phase when required.
• Provide input into the engagement monthly report with respect to design progress, actual cost against budget, earned progress against plan, issues of concern and
recommendations when required to achieve overall objectives.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Construction, Environmental, Safety and Commissioning personnel early in the design effort to obtain their input and conduct
any necessary reviews.
• Make contact with client management at key points throughout engagement to ensure that engineering deliverables meet client requirements.
• Regularly review and appraise the structure of the engineering engagement team in terms of its ability to meet short- and long-term objectives, and institute appropriate changes.
• Ensure that engineering systems and 3D intelligent design environment is effectively and properly used and the engagement complies to Hatch's minimum digital
standards as accessed from the engagement specific delivery site.
• Assume responsibility for the engineering administrative function, directing Area Engineers, Discipline Engineers, Project Engineer, Layout and BIM Coordinators and
other engaged groups with inter-related engineering responsibilities.
• Direct and review the engineering activities to ensure that work quality is satisfactory and appropriate technical personnel development programs are conducted.
• Involve specialist technical expertise from within Hatch or externally as necessary.
• Raise safety awareness and ensure the design for safety principles are applied.
• If Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) are part of the scope of services:
- Assign an appropriate P&ID coordinator.
- Ensure P&ID checklist is signed off by all relevant parties for the specific phase of the engagement.
- Ensure that if the P&ID system is fully intelligent, it is aligned with asset registers like equipment list, line list, valve list and instrument list.
- Ensure HAZOP review is conducted and mitigation items are addressed.
• Ensure required technical risk and safety assessments are conducted.
• Arrange and facilitate design reviews and participate as required in engineering, management and construction reviews.
• Ensure clash detection is applied and clash exceptions are closed out.
• Ensure technical design calculations are stored in the engagement's Electronic
Document Management System (EDMS) consistently across all engineering disciplines.
• Coordinate quality audit verifications to ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, minimum digital standards, internal procedures for all design
activities and that corrective actions are being instigated as required.• Cooperate with the Global Engineering Practice of other regions as directed on matters involving sharing of available expertise and knowledge.
• Lead and promote the change management process.
• Lead the engagement technical review process (governance, quality reviews and audits, gate review).
• Communicate changes to the baseline information and to the identified stakeholders as defined in Section 2 Planning Phase.
• Contribute to/participate in Value Improvement Practises activities as required.
• Develop Progressive Learnings for engineering scope as a feed into overall Progressive Learning.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
• BSc/BEng degree in an engineering discipline
• Registration as a Professional Engineer with the governing authority, in the regions where it applies• Typically, 12 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Typically, 3 years' experience in managing design engineering teams working
• An extensive technical knowledge of engineering systems, design, applications of engineering processes and materials, and engineering applications of current
engineering technologies
• General knowledge of industry, regulatory standards and codes, and design criteria in engineering disciplines

Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineer to join our Civil Site Development team in Pittsburgh. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and lead aspects of civil engineering design for site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, roadways, and stormwater management systems.
Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with project requirements and standards.
Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including support in obtaining permits and approvals.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other disciplines to integrate civil engineering solutions into broader project scopes.
Participate in quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency in deliverables.
Provide technical support during construction, including site visits and addressing field issues.
Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and budgeting efforts.
Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices, and apply innovative approaches to improve project outcomes.
May require occasional travel to project sites or other Hatch offices.
What you bring to the role:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized and accredited institution.
10-15 years of relevant experience in civil/site development engineering.
EIT certification required; PE registration in Pennsylvania preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Proficiency in civil design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related tools.
Strong experience in bulk earthworks, site grading, storm drainage, access roads, and utility layout for medium to large-scale projects.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work well in team environments and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

Hatch currently has an Intermediate to Senior PM role available supportin our Nuclear business unit to be based out the Hatch Office in Pittsburgh. Responsible for managing, coordinating and administering the project (or portfolio of projects) during all delivery stages of the project lifecycle: from project definition, setup, execution, monitoring and controlling to final closing out of the project. Overall, responsible to deliver the project and/or portfolio of projects within the scope, cost and schedule baseline, and ensure that the project is delivered within the safety, quality and environmental best practices set out by Hatch and the client for the project.

Key Responsibilities
Displays and actively promotes behavior aligned to Hatch's goal of achieving a total safety culture by:
Acting as a mentor for the implementation of Hatch safety standards to contractors.
Develops and obtains sign-off from client on Project Execution Plan (PEP) and Client's Requirement Specification.Develops and resources an appropriate organization structure, and ensures that the entire project team has the required resources for the work.
Provides leadership to the project and creates a highly committed and aligned team environment with all who can influence the project's outcomes.
Ensures governance on the project, specifically compliance to Hatch and client delegations of authority, procedures and policies, project reviews.
Authorizes all commitments of expenditure on the project (subject to agreed delegation), and approves payment of invoices, manages claims responses and settlement processes.
Develops a detailed scope, cost and schedule control baseline, and manages any project changes in terms of this agreed control baseline.
Obtains client's acceptance of the work and sign-off for the completed project. Is responsible for the preparation and submission of the final project close out report, and prompt closeout of the prime contract.
Establishes and manages the invoicing process with the client, to ensure that all invoices are effectively delivered to the client with the relevant and agreed backup, to ensure efficient process by the client for payment of the works executed by Hatch.
Ensures compliance to the project Environmental and Safety Management Plan.
Strong communications with the client and the project team.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
University degree in engineering or other relevant discipline.
Experience with systems include steam turbine generator (STG), Steam Generator(SG), Generator step-up and Auxiliary Transformers
Experience in thermal (simple cycle and combined cycle) and distributed generation markets is desired
Utility scale power project management experience
Projects involving traditional generation technologies (gas fired engines /turbines / boilers, combined heat and power systems) as well as renewables (solar /wind) and battery energy storage (Li-Ion /long duration)
10 years experience in Project Management, with signature major project >$200M in construction/execution, ideally in Power Generation.
Greater than ten years' experience in cross functional leadership roles in a project delivery environment.The ability to evaluate, understand, apply, grow, and mentor the Hatch team including Engineering, Document Management, Cost Control, Schedule, PSC, Commercial, Risk, Quality, Safety, Construction, etc.
Experience in managing multi discipline projects.
Experience in engineering, procurement and construction, and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. Broad knowledge of industry standards.
Project performance monitoring and reporting.
Preferred
Mechanical/Electrical, Civil, or Process engineering qualification.
Working knowledge of engineering, project control systems, Procurement/Contracting and construction management.
Business development skills, especially proposal lead experience.
