    Job DescriptionDescription: HAVEN's Mission: Empower survivors to heal and engage all individuals and communities to address and prevent sexual assault and intimate partner violence. · The Residential Program Director will have a depth of knowledge of trauma informed empowerment-based services for adults and children who have experienced domestic violence and/ or sexual assault. · They will manage the variety of issues that are involved in maintaining a safe, clean communal environment in an emergency shelter that operates 24/7/365. · The Residential Program Director will divide their time between problem solving, coaching staff, and relationship building with residents, managing data and outcomes, program development and collaborating across the agency to achieve larger goals. Pay Range: $60,000.00 to $63,000.00 Position Qualifications: Must possess a high level of interpersonal relationship skills, compassion, empathy and the ability to recognize one's own biases and values. Must enjoy empowering others to reconnect with their strengths and motivate them to achieve their own goals. Required education and experience · Bachelor's degree in social work or equivalent experience such as extensive self-led education on human service topics, deep personal experience with human service management, 5 years working in human service fields · 2 years of supervisory experience · 1-year residential experience in a communal living environment · Master's degree preferred. · Experience working with individuals of all ages that have experienced interpersonal violence and/or sexual assault. · Experience working with clients from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds · Experience managing the day-to-day operations of a shelter or similar environment. · Prior empowerment-based case management experience · Experience creating and implementing program evaluation measures Additional eligibility requirements · LMSW or LPC preferred · Available for emergent staff, client or building issues 24/7/365 · Must be able to lift 25lbs · Ability to work a flexible schedule including some nights/weekends and occasional holidays · Must have a clear driving record and valid driver's license · Responsibilities: Responsible for the hiring/terminating, professional development/training, evaluation, goal setting and supervision of Residential staff · Ensure the delivery of short-term empowerment-based case management · Assigns, monitors and tracks staff caseloads · Integrate learnings from focus groups, survivor feedback and house meetings into program development · Facilitate problem solving conflicts within shelter, providing mediation and follow up as appropriate, along with documentation · Be available for staff, via phone or in person, needing consultation for high-risk situations 24/7/365 · Ensure appropriate staff coverage · Mentor student interns and volunteers · Conducts regular case management meetings · Ensures programming includes assisting survivors with safety planning, understanding the dynamics of IPV, healthy coping strategies, assistance in meeting basic needs, respite activities and assistance with housing, employment, transportation, legal and financial needs. · Ensures children's programing includes safety planning, healthy relationships, coping strategies, respite activities and assistance with school enrollment and homework · Assist with ensuring proper safety and accessibility requirements are met · Create and implement a variety of program evaluation tools · Document and compile data for and to complete shelter focused grant/funding reports · Develop and maintain a system to ensure continual maintenance and upgrades to shelter · Ensure shelter focused inspections are completed and inspection requirements are followed · Works closely with Crisis line, Resource Room and Counseling to achieve positive survivor outcomes · Ensure program complies with all state, federal and grant required guidelines including food storage/preparation and sanitary conditions of the shelter. This position is responsible for answering and responding to calls on our 24-hour Crisis Line. The specialist provides immediate emotional support, engages in safety planning, and connects callers with appropriate resources and services. This role is vital in supporting individuals experiencing domestic violence or sexual assault and is a critical front-line position that requires strong communication skills, emotional resilience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care. Attend weekly team meetings and our monthly all staff meeting. Respond to referrals received from other programs for HAVEN clients in need of additional resources. Provide crisis-intervention, support, and resources to callers on the 24-hour Crisis and Support Line Respond to Crisis and Support Line chats Meet with walk-in clients to assess their situation and provide appropriate resources and/or referrals Place referrals to other HAVEN programs on behalf of crisis line callers, chatters, and walk-ins Appropriately document every call and chat received Regularly review and edit crisis call logs Maintain and update resource materials Complete and maintain appropriate and accurate documentation for funding sources Assist in training/mentoring of program staff, volunteers, and interns Provide program and agency overviews to community members as requested Respond to agency website “help now” e-mails Attend weekly team meeting and bi-monthly all staff meeting Attend community meetings that expand resource potential Work closely with other service programs within the agency to achieve positive survivor outcomes Requirements: Job Requirements and Core Competencies: BA or BS in Human Service area or an equivalent combination of education, work and volunteer experience working with adults and children. 1 year experience working in advocacy or a shelter or experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma strongly preferred. Skilled in active listening and crisis intervention required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to make quality “customer service” a priority required. Essential Work Functions: Create personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based practices, and patient goals Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments in accordance with the established treatment plan Provide direct, hands-on therapy using adaptive techniques, modalities, and assistive devices to improve functional abilities in daily living and work-related tasks Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and strategies to enhance independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, holistic care Track patient progress through regular evaluations, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in occupational therapy Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to maintain a secure and supportive therapy environment Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings Perform additional duties assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
