**Role Summary**
The job of the cleaner is to ensure all Hawaiian Airlines aircraft are cleaned and polished on a regular basis in order to maintain the highest standards of appearance while adhering to the Aircraft Appearance program. Our Cleaners look out for the safety and well-being of each other, and the cleanliness of the aircraft while ensuring our flights depart on-time. This is a union position.

Distinguishing Characteristics
Able to perform routine custodial maintenance, cleaning, and grounds keeping in the Maintenance of Facilities Department, to include having the skill and ability to operate the tools and equipment associated with these functions. May work independently or as a part of a team in assigned work areas.
Supervision Received and Exercised
The Facilities Maintenance Custodian works under the immediate supervision of the COASTER/SPRINTER Managers and/or Shift Supervisors. They have no direct supervisory responsibility. Further, this position is expected to participate in the sharing of expert knowledge and as a vital member of various project teams that may be instituted.
Working Conditions
This position is required to work in all types of settings, including outdoors. The classification also works with various machinery and chemicals. Individuals in this position must be able to work safely to prevent on-the-job accidents and injuries, wear protective equipment including hearing protection, safety-toe boots, safety glasses and other Personal Protective Equipment items as assigned by NCTD. Business travel may be required periodically between District sites, governmental agencies, consultants' facilities, and other locations as required.

* Performs cleaning activities to buildings, sites, equipment, and assists Facilities Maintenance Technicians.

Qualifications
Education/Experience

Certificates/Licenses
* Possess and maintain a California driver's license, Class C, with less than 6 points in the prior 36-month period and no DUI's in the prior 7-year period.

* Must be able to obtain and maintain annual access to Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton.
* Must be able to become RWP Qualified on NCTD owned railroad properties.

You Will

Monitor sick leave and leaves of absence of all Cabin Service Agents and take appropriate action, including discipline when necessary.
Ensures Aircraft is compliant with proper cleaning and security search procedures/policies and documentations.
Personally conducts quality audits on Aircraft Cleaning Vendor and submits results to both SWA and Vendor Leadership (Whip-Around).
Maintains and ensures USDA Logs are maintained and that Huntleigh is meeting all aspects of the RGA.\

Properly dispose of waste and organize cleaning supplies
Identify and report safety hazards or prohibited items
Follow all safety procedures when using equipment and cleaning chemicals
Complete incident reports for accidents or unusual findings
Maintain professional appearance and adhere to all company policies
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies
Ability to bend, squat, reach, and access all areas of aircraft interiors
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Qualifications
Ability to pass an FBI fingerprint-based background check
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Experience in a fast-paced or physical work environment preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
