Haws history

1911 Receives patent in the United States for the world's first drinking faucet.

1933 Drops "Sanitary" from company name; becomes Haws Drinking Faucet Company.

1938 Introduces the self-contained electric water cooler.

In 1940, Farmer and Housework were the top reported jobs for men and women in the USA named Haws.

The school was established in December 1948 by General Kodendera Subayya Thimayya, then holding the rank of Brigadier.

During the winter of 1949-50, the school was redesignated as a Command Establishment and renamed as the Winter Warfare School.

1950 Introduces emergency drench showers and eyewashes into the product line.

On 8 April 1962, it was upgraded to a Category A Training Establishment and adopted its current name.

1964 Begins warehousing products nationwide.

In July of 1965, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County was granted incorporation and a search began for a suitable shelter site and design.

1972 Designs and develops the first "barrier-free" electric water cooler.

1977 Starts manufacturing in Northern Nevada.

1984 Opens Haws AG in Switzerland to supply European market.

For more than 40 years they waited until the Iron Curtain finally came down in 1989, then they began to manufacture their marvelous baskets again.

Tyler Haws was born in April in the year 1991.

He played for the Carolina Panthers in the 1995 NFL Expansion Draft.

In 1996, Haws Corporation completed construction and moved into a new 210,000 square foot facility in Sparks, Nevada.

1997 Designs and delivers first Polar Systems Product.

1998 Changes name to Haws Corporation to allow the company to be easily identified with multiple product lines.

2001 Avlis-Haws is established to serve the Latin American markets.

2006 Haws Corporation has its first Centennial Celebration.

Inaugural Winner of the “Chamber’s Choice Award” presented in 2008 by the Waukesha County Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Times.

Winner of the 2010 Waukesha County Executive Awards: Large Non-Profit of the Year.

At Brigham Young University (BYU), Haws was named the 2014 West Coast Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Year.
