The Graphic Designer will play a critical role in building our in-house agency by creating, implementing, and supporting a combination of brand and business objectives from various stakeholders at HAYWARD. Working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams, this person will be a problem-solver, delivering a wide range of creative solutions across print, digital, packaging, POP, and event/tradeshow platforms.
This position will be located at 1415 Vantage Park Drive, Suite 400, Charlotte, NC (Uptown). The graphic designer will work onsite at this Charlotte location with our growing team!
Responsibilities

Develop creative solutions for a wide variety of print and digital projects, demonstrating expert visual communication skills with a keen eye for hierarchy, layout, typography, and relevant messaging for the target audience.
Manage your time and project priorities efficiently whether working independently or collaboratively, aligning to internal workflow processes and deliverable dates.
Develop a wide range of creative assets including print and digital ads, catalogs, brochures, presentations, sell sheets, packaging, POP, eblasts, web banners, print/packaging mockups, display ads, tradeshow graphics and various other materials that support the brand strategy and business objectives.
Ability to interpret and execute against creative briefs and strategic objectives with purposeful, impactful, and relevant solutions.
Coordinate and collaborate on projects with external vendors including print and production vendors, ad agencies, photo/video studios, developers, and others.
Support digital and website creative, working closely with front end development team.
Work with outside agencies to support sales, HR and other Hayward departments for communication needs.
Stay current with emerging design and digital trends, along with the industry's competitive landscape and share innovations with internal teams.
Help to maintain an updated repository of creative and marketing assets including images, photography, videos, native art files, logos, presentation templates, etc.

Proven design expertise across a variety of print and digital platforms.
Must have in-depth knowledge of Photoshop specifically for color correction and retouching.
Must be an expert in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
Must be proficient in MS Office software - PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Copywriting and/or advertising experience is a plus.
Experience with producing and editing video is a plus.
Designing for E-commerce experience is a plus.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or technical degree in graphic design, visual communication, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and strong related experience in lieu of degree.

Position Overview:
Leads all aspects of the Quality function for the Clemmons facility (Pool Division). Champions continuous improvement efforts, failure analysis, defect and variation reduction, problem-solving, and risk mitigation initiatives to maintain an effective Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure Hayward products meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a plant-wide quality assurance system and team that contributes to customer satisfaction and Hayward's success.
Responsibilities
· Be the Quality Champion / Voice of Quality / Customer Advocate for the Clemmons facility.
· Supervises and trains QA/QC staff; determines workload priorities to support Operations and Engineering needs. Ensure that plant QA/QC is properly resourced to support customer needs, manufacturing operations, and product design/development.
· Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and prioritizing workload and assigning and directing workforce accordingly, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.
· Ensure all internally fabricated parts, purchased parts and finished products conform to engineering prints and performance specifications, and all non-conforming items are appropriately identified, quarantined, reviewed, and dispositioned. Ensure relevant parties (production mgmt, planning, supply chain, etc.…) are informed and involved throughout this process.
· Support New Product Development and Sustaining Engineering efforts through active Quality department participation in assigned design development projects.
· Actively participate in the Product Change / Engineering Change (PCD/ECN) process as the QA review authority for the Clemmons facility. Proactively review changes to ensure product quality/integrity/reliability are not compromised; work with change authors to resolve concerns and promptly report unresolved concerns to the Director of Global Quality. Ensure First Article Inspections (FAI) are completed, documented, approved, and reported in a timely manner
· Actively participate as a member of the Clemmons facility staff in plant meetings and activities.
· Prepare and submit Quality department budgets and capital expenditure proposals for the Clemmons facility.
· Ensure metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) are established and used to monitor product quality, manufacturing performance, and drive continuous improvement. Actively investigate opportunities to apply or improve the use of metrics throughout the facility.
· Manage the Returned Materials Area (RMA) and Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) process, including overseeing evaluations and /or failure analysis of returned goods. Ensures that findings are documented and regularly reported to appropriate functions/personnel.
· Effectively use problem-solving processes (e.g.,8D, A3, Shainin Red-X, DMAIC) to develop root-cause analyses, effective corrective actions, and process improvement.
· Ensure consistent monitoring of supplier performance with Supplier Quality Engineers through the use of Supplier Scorecards for critical suppliers. Maintain regular contact with Supplier Quality Engineers on current suppliers and the evaluation of potential new suppliers as appropriate.
· Ensure appropriate supplier quality requirements are established and consistently applied to ensure conformance to established requirements for all supplied parts, components, or systems. Work with Supplier Quality Engineers to pursue Supplier Corrective Action Responses (SCARs) for systemic or significant failures.
· Maintain active and effective calibration and testing programs.
· Recommend actions or policies that result in improved quality, efficiency, cost reduction, or profitability for the company.
· Interact with Technical Services and Sales personnel to investigate, understand, and resolve customer / field complaint issues. Provide feedback to Clemmons Operations on issues resulting from manufacturing non-conformances and request formal corrective action when appropriate.
· All other reasonable duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for and manages all aspects of the Quality function for Pool Division at the Clemmons facility. Directs/coordinates the activities of carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Must closely interact with Clemmons Plant Manager and staff, Product Managers, Engineering staff, and Quality Managers in other Hayward facilities. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning and prioritizing workloads; assigning and directing the Quality department workforce to support Operations and Engineering needs; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Must have demonstrated strong leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, and planning skills.
Must demonstrate knowledge of and ability to properly apply:
· Statistics and Statistical Process Control.
· Quality Systems and Standards (eQMS).
· Metrology and GD&T standards.

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints/schematics. Must be knowledgeable in plastic molding processes including injection and blow molding. Must be familiar with Agency compliance (e.g., UL, CE, NSF, etc…) requirements and procedures.
Familiarity with sheet metal forming and fastening and electronics manufacturing are helpful but not required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) from four-year college or university, preferably in a technical field (Engineering, Science, or Math), required with minimum 10 years related experience in Manufacturing Quality, Operations, and/or Engineering.
ASQ (CQE, CMQ, or CRE) or other relevant professional certifications desired.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally be able to lift, inspect, test, and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will routinely work in the manufacturing area near moving mechanical parts and will be exposed to fumes, dust, water, and airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy in the production areas. Safety glasses are required in the manufacturing environment. Infrequent travel may be required.
The Quality Manager must interact frequently throughout the workday with other facility staff and the plant manager and establish a “culture of Quality” within the facility through leadership and effective communications.

**Title:** Product Development Coordinator
**Reports to:** Product Development Manager
**Summary:** Performs, processes, maintains and improves all technical aspects of customer's graphics projects to include art files/designs, implementation of new jobs/product, materials and responsible technical customer relationship. + Promotes active customer involvement by processing new designs and printing substrates to maximize production to customer satisfaction while keeping product development costs to a minimum.
+ Effectively coordinates and communicates with Customer regarding new, improved or changed designs
+ Ensure that all relevant stakeholders from operations are fully informed and aligned on production specifications and requirements. Facilitate regular meetings and communication channels to guarantee that everyone involved understands and agrees on the necessary details for successful production.
+ Request and approves development of new inks with suppliers in alignment with customer's requirements and process needs for optimal print performance, applying stringent controls to color and ink issues.
+ Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of print and converting fundamental principles and techniques, specially offset, gravure, inline and offline die-cutting, Hot-foil stamping and fold/gluing.
+ Works independently to deliver the highest quality products.
+ Knows how to determine optimal print sequence in partnership with operations, adjust trappings and overprints to prepare stepped files with necessary printing marks for process control, and coordinate efficiently with prepress providers to maintain customer artworks and combine process requirements.
+ Estimate tooling investment for new projects manage approvals with customers or through technical account team.
+ Organize on press approvals with customers. Support color matchings and coordinate preparation of color booklets with customer signatures
+ Manage project timelines and on time delivery of tools for first productions

**Control costing issues through administration of graphic function.**
+ Control costing of equipment used, cylinders, tooling etc. by effective dealings with suppliers and vendors to insure the highest quality equipment while maintaining costs at market or lower level.
+ Control and approval all invoices involved in the graphic/production process making sure all documentation is properly executed, signed and approved.
+ Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field. Applies relevant new knowledge to performance of responsibilities:
+ Participates in professional continuing educational programs when available.
+ Incorporates knowledge of pertinent new trends, developments and ideas into the department procedures and make recommendations for any related changes.
+ Provides assistance to other teams and department members when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery
Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical machinery and electrical systems

Purpose of the role:
The Implementation Manager is accountable for successful deployments at factories and selling entities, globally. Summary:
Support the Press Teams and Lab through the careful analysis of product samples and physical testing of product attributes or variables to ensure quality of product meets or exceeds company and/or customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
Conduct physical and visual testing on raw material, work in process and finished goods to determine fitness for use. Compile all associated records.
Compare samples from each printed load to standard, record inspection data and tabulate defect information.

REPORTS TO: Pre-Make Lead
SUMMARY: To ensure the quality, integrity and serviceability of print cylinders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Following company policies and procedures ensure all cylinders received are recorded and visually inspected for damage during shipping. Cylinder location is recorded and cylinder is stored in racks in Pre-Make Ready Area.
According to company policies and procedures remove correct cylinders listed on set up sheets identifying and logging rack number.
Following safety procedures, remove cylinder to work bench to inspect for serviceability. Follow procedures for moving correct cylinder to staging area prior to installation on press.
Complete all necessary paperwork to ensure the correct job number, cylinder number, unit number and color is correct for particular job on press.
Remove cylinders at job finish according to company policies and procedures ensure that all bearings are properly removed and cylinder is cleaned and safely returned to correct location in rack.
Maintain and clean all sumps as required ensuring sumps are properly assemble and disassemble according to procedures. Maintain schedule of wash solvent changing (every three weeks). Follow correct documentation according to MSDS sheets.
Properly disassemble and clean cylinder without damage ensuring cylinder is thoroughly cleaned and safely removed and stored.
Operate PRI Washer according to manufacturer's specifications and procedures ensuring all policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for OHSE personal protection, and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines and 40 CFR. This employee may be responsible for hazardous waste proper documentation (including completing manifests and weekly inspections), providing hazardous waste training, proper handling and transporting of hazardous waste, and/or acting as an emergency coordinator in the event of an emergency involving hazardous waste.
Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate personal protective equipment at all times while in designated areas and specific tasks requiring the use of PPE.
Follows established procedures and guidelines for handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
Maintain and wear proper uniform according to company policies.
Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities
Checks resin logbook for any problems or comments from the previous shift.
Makes a list of all machines and material at the beginning of each shift. Resin Technicians are responsible for using up all regrind material that is scheduled in our daily operation.
Follows standard procedures for changeovers.
Responsible for cleaning around, under and on top of each machine when changing color of type of material.
Verifies that all dryers are fully operational and meeting drying requirements.
Responsible for pick-up of scrap during and at the end of shift.
Responsible for keeping resin work area clean at all times.
Regularly monitor all hoppers to prevent material from running low or running out.
Must adhere to established break times.
Checks gaylords to see if they need changing; combines partial gaylords into new gaylord.
Breaks down all gaylords and stacks them up neatly.
Keeps wooden skids stacked neatly at all times.
Checks to see if any material changes are ready for changeover. Assures that material changeovers are not left for the next shift.
Drains and cleans hoppers after production jobs are finished. Properly weighs and labels material used for prior production job and stores material in the right location.
Keeps all gaylords covered to prevent contamination on the production floor and in resin area.
Ensures that grinders on the floor are being used. Cleans and changes over grinders when material changes are made for production jobs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
Ability to write technical reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
Accuracy in basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Must have knowledge of the different types of resin used in manufacturing at Hayward.
Must be able to drive a forklift and be certified to drive.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma and at least two years experience in an injection molding environment;
or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
