Responsibilities The Senior Medical Director ensures that Hazelden Betty Ford's promise to our patients: that patients, families and customers will have the best opportunity for lifelong recovery and is upheld across multiple sites within their designated region - Minnesota This leadership role provides medical oversight and strategic alignment across site-level operations by supervising and supporting Site Medical Directors. The Senior Medical Director ensures consistent implementation of clinical standards, productivity benchmarks, and patient care practices across programs in both outpatient and residential settings. They are fully accountable to the policies and procedures of HBFF are followed with attention to compliance. Responsibilities Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, provide nursing care and treatments to patients, administer medications, and monitor vital signs. * Provide general nursing care, nursing procedures, and referrals, to ensure optimal patient care as appropriate to LPN licensure in the State of Minnesota, under supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Participate in gate keeping responsibilities for medical issues, under supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Participate in conflict resolution pertaining to health issues, under supervision of the Registered Nurse. * Provide assistance to patients/customers/staff as directed by the Registered Nurse, to result in timely delivery of services. * Continually seek and maintain knowledge necessary to facilitate optimal patient care and comfort. * Maintain Unit order to result in optimal efficiency in delivery of services. Assist in fielding, screening, and triaging inquiry calls. Educate callers on Rosecrance and engage clients presenting as clinically appropriate. Work with Community Relations team and/or maintain knowledge of community, school and recovery resources in order to make appropriate interagency referrals as required. Schedule Access screenings with potential clients and their significant others. Formulate initial diagnostic impression and appropriate recommendations at inquiry and assessment level. Provide case management to assigned patients. Utilize intervention skills as required to place the patient in the appropriate level of treatment services. Provide networking, linkage and follow-up with referral sources. Work with the treatment team to develop the individual treatment plan and assist the patients with and treatment plan objectives. Document information in the patient service records consistent with laws, rules and regulations. Assume on-call responsibilities as scheduled or when necessary. Provide centralized diagnostic assessments that include computerized social histories, mental status, presenting problem, diagnosis and treatment needs. Serve as a member of the Access Team and participate in all team meetings and activities. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct. Responsibilities Assist clients and staff with team needs throughout the facility. Assist with addressing the treatment process within the organizational guidelines, philosophies, policies and procedures. Review patient/client activities and relate observations to staff. Ensure building complies with fire and safety regulations. Provide clerical support to the treatment team, medication services, patient scheduling and management of unit office/tech station. * Review and support the recovery activities of patients/clients and relate observations to appropriate staff. * As a member of the treatment team, assist patients/clients from admission through discharge. * Ensure site/building follows safety regulations including fire and guest/visitor expectations (site-specific). * As required by site: * Accompany residents/patients/clients to scheduled appointments, meetings, grocery store, etc. * Manage money restricting program within organization guidelines. * Assist in performing toxicology screenings. * Support resident/patient/client vocational goals. * Support Peer run programming and provide education-based lectures * As required by site, assist the medical department as needed to monitor and maintain patient/client's medications.
