The CM will manage the construction, coordination, documentation and inspection activities for various water and wastewater facilities and pipeline projects in the Great Bay and Sacramento areas. Travel within the area may be required. Duties and responsibilities may include the following: Reviewing and interpreting Contract Documents including project specifications and drawings. Assisting in the review of RFIs and shop drawings prepared by the Contractor. Preparing sketches and assembling data for the Design Engineer's use Coordinating and facilitating communication between the Contractor, the Design Engineer, the Facility Managers, and the Owner Managing the field inspection of Contractor's daily operations for compliance with contract documents. Perform Q/C on CM operations. Reviewing Contractor's schedules, periodic pay estimates and managing the review of change orders Use of cloud-based software for project documentation such as PROCORE, Unifier e-Builder etc. Other Construction and Project management activities as needed. Interfacing with clients and performing client management activities. Qualifications and Skills: Must have bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field. 5+ years relevant construction experience in heavy construction, mechanical and electrical construction, preferably in the water/wastewater industry Applicant must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. As a Senior Contracts Manager, you'll be a trusted advisor to project teams, helping them navigate complex agreements and make informed business decisions. You'll use your communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to review contracts, guide negotiations, and identify risks-contributing to the successful delivery of design-build and related projects in the water and wastewater industry. Detailed Description * Advise project teams involved in design-build and related projects, either in a contractor role, designer role, or both, as to appropriate contractual terms in a variety of settings. * Review RFPs and the associated contracts, provide contract risk assessments including proposed contract changes and exceptions and suggest risk mitigation measures. * Be responsible to draft and review a variety of agreements, including NDAs, teaming agreements, joint ventures, prime contracts, and subcontracts. * Maintain close working relationships with applicable leadership team, sales and delivery managers, other members of the legal department, as well as other internal core services groups necessary to achieve comprehensive review and risk assessment (cybersecurity, tax, insurance, etc.). * Serve as one of the organization's contacts to address questions related to existing contracts and contract processes. * Prioritize between multiple projects on a time-sensitive basis. Job Description: The role is a senior water treatment leader with strong project management experience, strong process capabilities and understanding, and strong relationship building capability to support the Hazen's West Regional Manager and local Operations Managers in developing water treatment business in Northern California and Oregon. The position can be based in any of the Northern California offices (San Francisco, Concord, or Sacramento), however, it will serve across the Region depending on the expertise and the needs on projects and pursuits. Responsibilities: Assist the Operations Managers from the northern California and Oregon offices in strategic business planning and development of the annual office business plans for identifying strategies to grow the local market share and technical capabilities, identifying annual goals for improving the water treatment resume of the office, Region, and the firm. The position will support the West Region and National Water Practice leadership in strategic business planning, strategic technology initiatives, identifying research and study areas, identifying strategies to grow the drinking water capabilities in the Offices and the Region. Assist the Regional Manager and Operations Manager with identifying, pursuing, selling and delivering water treatment projects. Developing technical treatment strategies, selecting treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects. Identifying key opportunities and supporting and developing proposals. Helping the operations managers to identify, hire, supervise and mentor junior water staff. Holistic problem solving for clients considering their water supplies, water demands and uses, water production capabilities, business operations, regulatory constraints, and financial expectations. Direct coordination and collaboration with clients. Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery. Managing projects to meet client expectations, budgets, and quality requirements. Following internal Hazen processes to ensure quality delivery of engineering projects for clients.
