The AP/AR Clerk provides day-to-day clerical support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as well as perform administrative functions to ensure effective, efficient administrative support for the Finance Department. This is an in-office position located in Lincoln, NE.
Essential Functions
AP
Maintains vendors in accounting software, secures W-9s and prepares 1099 reporting
Maintains vendor records and vendor documents both electronically and manually
Accurately review, code and process vendor invoices
Performs research and analysis of vendor accounts to resolve issues
Handles vendor inquiries
Reconciles month end vendor statements
Reconciles monthly company credit card
Enters and codes monthly employee reimbursements in electronic payment platform
Prepares ad hoc vendor reporting as requested by various departments
AR
Responsible for posting daily cash receipts and adjustments
Responsible for contacting clients/vendors for clarification on invoices
Maintains client data base including new client setup and inactivation's
Assists with reconciliation of accounts receivable activity to the general ledger
Prepares month-end client statements and applies finance charges when applicable
Review AR aging and perform low level collections activities
Handles client inquiries
Performs analysis of customer accounts to answer questions and resolve issues related to customer accounts
Regularly communicates the with the Finance Team
Competencies
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs preferred, Oracle NetSuite a plus

About the Role

The Olsson Rail Geotechnical and Construction Services team supports various railroad related projects across the county. We work with multiple Class 1 railroads, short lines, industries, and public agencies in the rail market. Pursuing a degree in computer support, computer information systems, network infrastructure or other related field
