HD Supply CEO and leadership

I’m a seasoned IT executive, leader and strategist. I’m an expert in building strong teams, business communications, application design and implementation. I've managed teams of up to 650 people (350 internal, 300 contractor), and budgets of ~$105MM.

I’ve “grown up” in retail stores. In my most recent role as Vice President of Store, Credit and Multi-Channel Systems at Home Depot - I was responsible for a very large team that transformed Store Operations. We were the first major retailer to be fully EMV capable for debit and credit, end to end encrypted, and fully tokenized. We created a ground breaking mobile device platform that provided applications, phone, walkie-talkie and POS capabilities to associates, saving the company $70M in hardware and labor costs.

We built a multichannel order management system supporting 1980 retail stores and HomeDepot.com. This enabled multi-channel shopping capabilities for customers (Buy Online Pick Up in Store, Buy Online Ship to Store, Buy Online Delivery from Store) that account for $1.5B in annual sales.

We also built an in-house payment switch, which allows on-the-fly credit/debit routing changes - saving money on interchange costs.

I keep saying “we” - because it is a pet peeve of mine when leaders say “I”. There is very little anyone can do on their own. It takes a team of people pulling in the same direction - that is my specialty. I don’t care who gets the credit - I just want my team to win.

Anna Stevens has served as Vice President, Chief People Officer for HD Supply since January 2017. In her role as Chief People Officer, she oversees all of our human resources professionals across the organization and in multiple functional areas including benefits, recruiting, compensation, organizational development and learning, talent management, strategy, project management, mergers and acquisitions, human resources systems and technologies, payroll and community affairs. With nearly 20 years of experience in human resources management, Ms. Stevens has extensive expertise in communications and change management, human resources strategic planning, staffing, development and succession planning, coaching and performance management. She joined HD Supply in 2008, working in the areas of organizational development, learning and communications before being promoted to Vice President, HR Strategy, Marketing and Communications in 2012 and Vice President, HR Planning and Operations in 2014. Prior to joining HD Supply, Ms. Stevens served in various roles of increasing responsibility for AT&T, Inc. Preceding AT&T, Ms. Stevens held human resources management roles at Progressive, Inc., Bell South and Aerotek Inc. Ms. Stevens holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Lynchburg College and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Gonzaga University.

Alyssa Steele is a Chief Merchandising Officer - Facilities Maintenance at HD SUPPLY HOLDINGS, INC. and is based in Greater Atlanta Area. She has worked as Director of Development at MedShare International, Fundraising Campaign Manager at O'Neill & Associates Consulting Firm, and Senior Director / Division Merchandising Manager at EBAY INC. Alyssa studied at IAE FRANCE - Ecoles Universitaires de Management between 2005 and 2006 and J. Mack Robinson College of Business | Georgia State University between 2005 and 2006.
