HDR is looking for a Georgia Highways Market Sector Leader with a known reputation with GDOT and statewide municipalities and counties. This role would support business development and project delivery for the Highways and Roads Market Sector in the state of Georgia.
The specific responsibilities of this position are divided into two parts;
The Georgia Highway Market Sector Lead will facilitate the development and implementation of business strategies across the state in coordination with Business Group leadership, operational leadership, client managers and business class directors. Reporting to the Georgia Transportation Business Group Manager, the Highways and Roads Market Sector Lead will create and monitor frequent and regular communication to implement the strategic and operating plans for the market sector consistent with the overall Transportation Business Group strategy. Specific responsibilities include:
1. Promoting the marketing and delivery of all HDR services to clients within Georgia working with our client managers and project managers.
2. Working with the Area Business Group Manager on development and delivery of market sector initiatives.
3. Working with the area client development leaders to drive client development and pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques.
4. Supporting selected Georgia area pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy and participation in pursuit activities.
5. Participating in industry associations and serving as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
6. Monitoring marketing capabilities and provide H&R MS support to help the GA Area achieve goals.
7. Developing relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations.
8. Developing relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations.
9. Leading / Assisting with the identification and recruitment of prospective future market sector employees.
10. Monitoring market sector performance indicators NFE/NFB/profits/positive equity/AR/losses/investments.
The Georgia Highways Market Sector Leader role will be responsible for the following:
* Integrating into a local business development plan and implementation of contact strategies for GDOT and statewide Agencies.
* Pursuing work locally and nationally (local projects might include larger more complex projects).
* Supporting local staff with mentorship, training, and quality reviews on Area projects.
* Integrating into local project work.
* Integration of Market Sector initiatives and strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
* 15 years experience in transportation and/or engineering with a majority of that experience within the market sector
* If an engineer, maintaining engineering registration
* Experienced in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services
* Experienced in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits
* Experienced in overall staff development to include recruiting, career path and professional growth
* Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector
* Ability to work cooperatively with Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Director, Area Business Group Managers, Area Marketing Managers and Area Managers.

HDR is searching for a talented Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Water Business Group in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in water and wastewater evaluation, analysis, design, and construction. They will be responsible for assisting with projects through planning, design, and construction phases. Project types could include water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure projects. Additional duties could include technical investigation and analysis of various detailed studies and preparing reports relating water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and conveyance infrastructure and processes. They will support and advise project managers and technical staff in other disciplines and sections, complete technical analysis, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with sub-consultants, support senior staff to maintain project schedules and budgets, and produce documents in accordance with project scopes and quality program procedures. COMPENSATION

Role accountabilities:

Maintenance Training throughout the State of Georgia
Overseeing and conducting maintenance inspections on roadway projects in accordance with client's adapted procedures and policies.
Providing maintenance inspection services for conformance to Plans and Specifications for all roadway, structures, and specialty items.
Observing measures and recording quantities for contractor payment.
Reviewing traffic control as required or requested.
Responsible for ongoing maintenance work throughout your assigned area through constant communication with active contractors

As a Stormwater Transportation Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design numerous drainage and design- build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the southeast. This may include of helping roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post-construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control.
Using your experience with software platforms such as Bentley's StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, HEC-RAS, HY8, ICPR and SWMM you will assist with the design and preparation of construction plans.
The ideal candidate will take initiative to take on new projects/challenges regularly and use their organizational skills to balance multiple assignments/activities to meet project deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities
As an employee-owner in this Rail Structures Designer/EIT role, we'll count on you to:
* Apply structural engineering techniques and procedures related to the design of bridges, structures, retaining walls and supporting facilities for our various freight railroad clients
* Work under the guidance and direct supervision of a Professional Engineer to serve in a technical capacity to assist in checking drawings and calculations, developing material lists and calculating quantities, and reviewing construction submittals, using structural design software programs.
* Participate and assist in rail bridges and structures assessments.
* Assist with development of project deliverables, including calculations, design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and feasibility reports.
* Have a desire to work in and learn about the railroad industry and may regularly interact with clients and other rail industry professionals.
* Work closely with Project Engineers and Managers to gain the engineering experience to obtain professional engineering license.
