In the role of Senior Mechanical Commissioning Agent, we'll count on you to: * Be the main contact between the client and HDR and direct and manage all Commissioning activities on the project * Adhere to budgeted man-hours and execute commissioning services. * Coordinate with the client and contractors in scheduling the commissioning activities: develop pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, training plans, O&M, record document shop drawing reviews. * Support the TMT and Data Commissioning Team with focus on Mechanical Commissioning efforts. * Utilize all Commissioning experience within leadership. * Exercise HDR policies, procedures, and guidelines while performing job duties and responsibilities. * Perform tasks with the necessary instrumentation and documentation needed. * Up to 65% (domestic) travel may be required. * Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Certifications: * CIT Level 1 * NFPA70E * OSHA 10/30 * NETA * LEED Accredited Preferred Qualifications * 3 years of Mechanical Commissioning experience in the Mission Critical Data Center industry. * Must have led Tier 1/Tier 2 project work and be experienced with Level 1 (FWT/FAT) through Level 5 commissioning work. * Experience with Functional Performance testing (FPT) along with Integrated System testing (IST) is required. * Experience with the following equipment such as but not limited to, Chillers, Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC), Computer Room Air Handler's (CRAH), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), Roof Top Units (RTU), Exhaust fans, and Test and Balance (TAB) is expected. Certified Infrared Thermographer (CIT) is desired. * Experience in leading daily commissioning meetings onsite to inform the customer, contractors, and vendors of progress, punch list items, and obstacles to overcome. * Experience updating the Project Manager of progress, projections, and hurdles such as personnel, change orders, and timelines. * Experience in developing scripts, project schedules, and deliverables such as Commissioning Plans is expected. * Participating in kickoff meetings with clientele and HDR staff to discuss scheduling, milestones, deliverables, and execution is required. * LEED accreditation * Preference given to local candidates * Due to client contract requirements, US-born citizenship is required. Oversee daily operations of contractor or subcontractor personnel to ensure that work is being performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Answer basic contractor questions about plan and specification requirements. Identify contractor means and methods that are inconsistent with plans and specifications, and discuss needed changes with the contractor as well as the project engineer or project supervisor. Make measurements and observations of work being performed to ensure accurate quantities are tracked for completed work. Prepare detailed field drawings or electronic templates to support the calculations being used to justify the pay quantities. Monitor material testing needs. Understand and apply testing frequencies for various materials used. Complete Inspector Daily Reports (IDRs) to document pay quantities, material requirements, and contractor staff. Photo Document all project activities. Assist with the preparation of quantities and construction cost estimates. Participate with the project team in meetings with clients regarding project issues Participate in a safety culture in a construction setting Willingness to work as needed to satisfy project requirements (i.e., nights, weekends, extended shifts, etc.). PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or GED, Associate's Degree in Construction Technology. 2+ years of related experience. Experience in construction materials testing. Construction related certifications or the ability to obtain. Ability to pass a background check along with valid state driver's license. Good interpersonal, communication, and conceptual thinking skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work independently for periods of time. Attention to detail and effective decision making and organizational skills. Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to prepare and maintain records, prepare reports, documents and correspondence related to the work. COMPENSATION The approximate compensation range for this position is $21.53/hr. to $33.45/hr. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
