Update and maintain the internal design specifications, drawings and standards to the latest configurations based on lessons learned and real-time feedback. Proficient in US codes and standards with knowledge of IEC standards. Experience reviewing detailed shop drawings and sequences of operation. Collaborate with internal teams regarding allowable power loading within multi-tenant facilities for rack deployment and load balancing. Qualifications & Experience: B.S.(Electrical Engineering) is required, M.S. & P.E. are preferred. 5+ years experience with mission critical facilities, with focus on market available data center multi-tenant facilities. Expertise with performing power system analysis and common engineering software packages is required. Experienced in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems from high voltage (HV) transformer to branch circuits. Experience and general knowledge of cross discipline teams: structural, civil, IT/Telecom, security, mechanical, architectural. Experience with colocation facilities is required. Primary Responsibilities In the role of Senior Highway Project Manager we'll count on you to: * Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out) * Responsible for all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, involving a large project staff * Produce and coordinate several highway/roadway projects concurrently * Establish and maintain client relations with ODOT, Counties, Cities, and other agencies throughout the State of Ohio. * Familiar with highway design standards from ODOT and other agencies. * Involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings * Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders * Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule * Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule * Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews * Implement QA/QC procedures and perform QC Reviews on highway/roadway projects you are not managing. * Supervise large project staffs and act as mentor for less-experienced Project Managers along with other Engineers and Production staff. * Perform other duties as needed Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, MS degree a plus * PE in Ohio or ability to obtain within six months of hire * Minimum of 10 years of Highway/Roadway design experience * Proven hands-on experience in all aspects of Highway/Roadway design projects with a focus on OhioDOT projects * Experience managing staff, clients, and contracts * Preference given to local candidates * Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams * Must enjoy mentoring and teaching other staff * Must have the ability to handle multiple assignments #LI-EH1 Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering * 10 years related experience * A minimum 5 years project management experience * Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. In the role of Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to * Independently coordinate the work of the structural design team from schematic design through the design development and contract document phases of a project. * Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team (architecture, MEP engineering, civil engineering, etc.) to lead the production of the structural deliverables for projects. * Analyze and design components of the superstructure for building projects. * Mentor and train structural interns and EITs within the department and across business groups. * Review structural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines and resolve conflicts in a timely manner. * Establish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. * Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplines. * Coordinate workload through the design phases in order to complete the documents on schedule. * Perform construction administration (CA) tasks such as submittal review, respond to requests for information (RFI's) and other coordination tasks with contractors in the field during construction. * Coordinate and assist with affected disciplines, with any addendum, change proposal requests and change orders, and incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documents. * Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures, materials and their respective sizes, and complete necessary calculations. * Perform other duties as needed. Primary Responsibilities HDR is currently in need of a Project Manager to advance the planning, design and construction administration of water and wastewater facilities projects in Ohio. It is envisioned this candidate would have a mix of client development, project management, and project delivery responsibilities. Candidates for this position should have experience directing project staff and will lead water/wastewater projects as a project manager. Other duties will include providing project and task management; conducting difficult to complex process engineering for both projects and proposals; collecting, assimilating, and presenting data in reports, memos and public forums; leading production of design calculations and technical reports; and leading preparation of engineering plans and specifications for design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and/or conveyance/distribution systems. Should possess strong oral and written communication and listening skills including good leadership and organizational skills. Position will work closely with the local team to deliver the growing Water Business Group business within Ohio.
