In the role of Constructability Specialist , we'll count on you to: * Perform constructability and biddability reviews * Perform field reviews for mainline and expansion projects * Perform detailed traffic control analyses of each proposed phase * Review construction schedules to assist managers with recommendations for resolution of issues. * Some initial utility coordination prior to construction Preferred Qualifications * Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification * Florida DOT or Florida Turnpike experience * Roadway construction experience highly desired * Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience * A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects * Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction * Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents * Must be able to work in a team environment * Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages * Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills * An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must * Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position What We Believe HDR is our company. A strong understanding of the engineering design and construction management business is required. Technical areas of knowledge may include transportation, water and natural resources, solid waste, power/energy, industrial, building and facility design, etc. Responsibilities will include oversight of our business operations, project management, business development, client management, staff management, and office management. The individual will be the "face of HDR" in their market and have a solid track record in the marketplace to understand market drivers, community groups' activities, thereby position HDR for success. They will be instrumental to aligning local business development activities to achieve local growth objectives with a high degree of client satisfaction. Office and staff management skills are paramount so that HDR achieves desired business metrics, and retains and recruits talented staff. This individual will lead by example in following HDR's operational policies and procedures, such as strong adherence to our quality and safety programs.
