HDR has an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced drinking water, wastewater, or water resources industry professional to serve in a leadership position as our Oregon Water Business Group Professional Services Lead (PSL). Professional Services is an area of our organization responsible for developing technical resources and maintaining a culture of quality. These practices improve our competitiveness and drive our growth.
As PSL, you will report to the Oregon Water Business Group Manager (BGM) and work alongside the BGM to provide staff supervision, technical oversight, and staffing resource assignments for the Oregon area's projects. You will serve as supervisor for the Water Business Class Leads within the area who serve as the technical delivery supervisors for the following service areas: pump stations and pipelines, stormwater, and dams, levees, and civil works, as well as future Business Class Leads as the team grows. As PSL, you will support the continued career development of supervisors within the area. You will collaborate closely with HDR's Water Professional Services Global Director to implement the Business Group's technical and quality initiatives within the Oregon Area.
In addition, the PSL will be responsible for collaborating on technical delivery and business development for cross-business group opportunities with HDR's Transportation, Resources, Architecture, and Building Engineering Systems business groups. You will also support recruiting efforts to attract and retain eminent talent for our local program.
The PSL will provide the following, across Oregon area offices:
* Supervise business class leaders
* Develop technical delivery skills for staff.
* Provide technical oversight and staff resource assignment to projects.
* Direct quality management system program.
* Perform project reviews focusing on scheduling, staffing, leadership, and quality.
* Mentor delivery staff and develop technical learning paths.
* Implement technical and digital delivery evolution in collaboration with Professional Services Director.
* Coordinate business processes with BGM consistent with Area, corporate policy, and HDR's matrix of authority (MOA).
* Implement quality, standards, and best practices.
* Lead project teams as project manager, design manager, or other role.
* Coordinate and lead a bi-weekly staff coordination meeting
* Actively participate in recruiting efforts for the WBG program.
Preferred Qualifications
* MS in relevant Engineering fields (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental) preferred.
* Oregon PE (demonstrated ability to obtain by comity within 6 months of hire is acceptable).
* Prior wastewater, drinking water, or water resources management consulting experience

In the role of Oregon BES Team Leader, we'll count on you to:
* Serve as the geographic lead in Oregon for the Building Engineering Services (BES) business group, leading a multi-discipline design team (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Control Systems, and Fire Protection) to support building-related work in multiple market sectors, including Technology and Data, Water/Wastewater, Power, Healthcare, Education & Science, and others throughout HDR.

Arcadis is seeking a mid to senior-level Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist within our cultural resources practice in the Pacific Northwest US. As part of this role, you will work with the wider National Cultural Resources team in developing strategies to increase cultural resources services in Oregon and Washington. You will serve as a Principal Investigator (PI) and provide senior oversight for junior staff as well as assist with the management of client-specific programs and projects. You will also provide quality assurance planning and review for execution of cultural resources work in the Pacific Northwest US. Arcadis is specifically looking for an archaeologist/cultural resource specialist with environmental planning and permitting experience for linear infrastructure in Oregon and Washington. The position requires someone with knowledge and experience working in these states at a federal and state level.

Role accountabilities:
As a Mid- or Senior-level Archaeologist/Cultural Resources Specialist, you will apply your technical knowledge to develop creative, effective, and economical solutions to address project issues. You will be a key cultural resource team member who interacts with project and program managers, and you will work as part of an interdisciplinary environmental team. You will also provide supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to junior-level staff, when appropriate.
The more technical aspects of your role will be serving as a PI in Oregon and Washington. You will be working on multiple projects including all levels of
investigation (Classes I-III, archaeological monitoring). Conducting your own fieldwork, as well as managing archaeological field staff and archaeological field crews (including subcontractors) will be required. You will need to conduct or lead field assessments related to archaeological projects. This will require a working knowledge of GPS systems and the ability to walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, as well as carry supplies weighing up to 40 pounds. This role will require the ability to travel up to 40%.
You will use your excellent technical writing and communications skills to provide guidance and senior technical review on project documents prepared by junior staff as well as prepare technical analysis and documents of your own.

Master's degree in archaeology or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in cultural resources management, with a combination of field- and office-based experience and roles.
Must be a qualified PI in Oregon and Washington.
Previous experience in cultural resources planning to support the construction, reconstruction or maintenance of electric and/or gas transmission facilities, or other similar type of linear infrastructures (i.e., water, sewer, oil and gas, etc.).
Experience working with federal land management agencies (Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, National Park Service etc.), and state agencies.
Strong knowledge of cultural resources management and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
Strong knowledge of Federal Energy Regulatory Commission procedures and guidelines.

As a Project Task Manager, you will play a key role as part of a collaborative team, contributing to the planning, management, and execution of various project scopes. Your daily/weekly activities will be primarily office-based work, with the potential to conduct some site field visits involving local travel and minimal overnight travel required.
Successful candidates for this position will have prior experience in task management and/or the execution of environmental investigations or remediation under the direction of a project manager. Key aspects of task management include overseeing scopes of work, schedules, and budgets, while ensuring strict adherence to health and safety requirements. Preferred qualifications may include experience conducting environmental field work, working towards or having professional licenses (i.e. Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer) and knowledge of local and federal environmental regulations.
Responsibilities will include:
Health and Safety Stewardship: Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and procedures for you and your project team.
Client, Regulatory, and Stakeholder Interaction: Communicating effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders under the supervision of the Project Manager.
Site Data Evaluation: Supporting the development of conceptual site models, nature and extent of contamination delineation, utilizing data to adhere to local/state/federal regulation, and contributing to the design, modification, or optimization of site remedies.
Technical Documentation: Writing and reviewing technical reports.
Coordination: Helping to organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors.
Financial: Producing cost estimates, forecasting project spend, reviewing client invoices, and tracking key performance indices under the supervision of the Project Manager.
This role offers a diverse mix of responsibilities, providing opportunities to contribute meaningfully to a variety of environmental projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
4+ years of experience in the environmental industry
Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
Previous experience with environmental sampling, technical report writing and data evaluation
Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity state environmental regulations
40-hour HAZWOPER certification (with an annual 8-hour refresher, if applicable)

In the role of Power Engineer, we'll count on you to:

* Drive area initiatives that are relative to the business class.
* Collaborate nationally with other wastewater treatment business class leads and other wastewater treatment experts.
* Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree is a plus
* Active engagement in professional or industry organizations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand both locally (e.g., PNWS AWWA, PNCWA) and nationally (e.g., WEFTEC, WRF)
* Proven leadership and mentoring skills that are necessary to grow and lead a business group

Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
* 10 years of experience
* Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
* Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience experienced in development and management of diverse teams
* Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
