In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer we'll count on you to:
* Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development
* Establish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems
* Assume the electrical lead on many projects
* Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance
* Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines
* Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
* Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule
* Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed
* Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed
* Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
* 10 years experience in electrical design with expertise in water and wastewater projects
* Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired

Serve as the Lead Roadway Engineer on ODOT and Local transportation projects
Collaborate with project team members
Review roadway and other highway related designs, including Maintenance of Traffic plans (if interested and qualified)
Mentor junior engineering staff
Develop cost proposals
Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
Prepare reports required by the project development process
Advance into project management (if desired)
What you'll bring to our firm:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio or the ability to become registered in 6-12 months
Minimum of 12 years of related highway design experience
Familiarity with AASHTO and OMUTCD standards
Prior design experience with Ohio Department of Transportation and/or Ohio Local projects
Hands on experience using CADD/Design Software (preferably OpenRoads) required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.

Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio locations including Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland or Akron, OH
As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.
Role Accountabilities
This role will develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning, and performing regulatory studies. In addition, this role will provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects. Additional duties include:
Develop and review of technical reports,
Lead client presentations, coordinating project deliverables, and contributing to scope definition and project pursuits.
Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications.
Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental EngineeringEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential, along with proficiency in GIS.
Key Skills and Attributes
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree
Project delivery experience and familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python.

In the role of Aviation Civil Engineer, we'll count on you to:
* Design and plan production for general civil on wide variety of airfield projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities
* Act as the Task Lead/Design Lead, as appropriate.
* Collaborate with multi-discipline architectural/engineering teams on aviation projects and pursuits across multiple regions
* Contribute to and participate in client and design review meetings
* Prepare technical reports, specifications and contract documents
* Assist with conducting quantity calculations and construct cost estimates
* Perform moderately complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures
* Effectively communicate most project issues with clients, contractors and suppliers/vendors
* Serve and/or grow as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity as needed
* Assist with construction administration and management related duties as needed
* Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed
* Plan, organize and supervise work of other junior staff and technicians as needed
* Perform other duties as needed
