SUMMARY
T.Y. Lin International is seeking a qualified Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in planning and designing water and wastewater utilities projects. This new position will have a wide range of responsibilities providing engineering design services for internal and external clients. Technical aspects include utilities planning studies; infrastructure assessments; preparing plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E); and construction administration. The candidate should have a working knowledge of pipeline hydraulics, conveyance systems and pump stations, pipeline materials, construction methods, and design criteria used by public agencies.
The individual will assist in the technical management of utilities design deliverables on a variety of water/wastewater, road/highway, bridge, rail/transit, airport and other infrastructure projects. Also will assist in client relations, and implement company policies and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance for projects. May assist with business development, staff direct supervision, and construction and/or field services for utilities projects and programs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the Water/Wastewater Manager in the execution of projects at the direction of the manager and other senior staff.
• Conduct and assist in utilities planning studies and infrastructure/system assessments.
• Coordinate and assist with internal and external clients in development and execution of utilities projects.
• Visit job sites and perform field investigations.
• Research utilities records and search as-built drawings of public and private utilities.
• Prepare technical reports, letters and memos for development of utilities projects.
• Assist in preparing scope of work, budget, schedule, and project reporting.
