HDR Engineering is currently seeking a Data Center Substation Engineering Manager (EM) to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.
Primary Responsibilities
As a Data Center Substation Engineering Manager (EM) in a well-established Power Delivery practice, you'll draw upon your broad technical knowledge and experience in design and construction of high voltage substation projects to lead, guide, and advise clients, projects, and teams. Having previously performed a leading technical role on increasingly complex substation projects, you'll be ready to undertake greater challenges and responsibilities. You will develop a partnership with the Project Manager (PM), whereas the PM is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and overall client management, and you will be responsible for technical execution of the project.
As a Data Center Substation Engineering Manager, your role will encompass the following:
* Develops a partnership with a PM, whereas the PM is responsible for scope, schedule, budget, and client management, and the EM is responsible for leading the technical team and execution of the project deliverables.
* Develops and implements a project execution plan for the technical aspect of projects.
* Assigns project tasks and provides technical guidance to project team members.
* Supports the technical aspect of scope, schedule, and budget, including proposal development, work breakdown structure development and implementation, progress assessment, risk assessment/mitigation, change management, and schedule management.
* Works independently and will direct, mentor, and/or train, one or more Project Engineers, EIT's, or CADD/Designers.
* Coordinates and/or performs quality checks and reviews for all project deliverables per the HDR Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver a world class quality product to the client. Performs quality checks and/or reviews of projects from other teams on an as needed basis.
* Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations.
* Works with senior engineers and technical leaders to identify and develop specific technical expertise and will attend training and seminars focused on further development and understanding of complex concepts related to their discipline.
* May also assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase HDR's technical capabilities at industry conferences or other events.
* Participates in project reviews as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
* Masters degree in Engineering
* Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm
* Minimum 8 years of technical design experience with high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects of varying complexity up to 500kV preferred, including at a minimum, conceptual knowledge of physical, electrical, civil, and structural design components, and knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NESC, and other applicable design and equipment standards.
* Experience with substation design for 12kV thru 500kV desired, experience thru 765kV an added benefit.
* Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office and conferencing platforms (Zoom, WebEx, Teams, etc.).
* Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills preferred.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
* Previous experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector.

Leadership for Program Management at HDR in the West Region consists of capturing, overseeing, coordinating, directing and may serve as a Project Manager for the work of a multi-disciplinary team assigned to support the delivery of one or multiple transportation infrastructure program(s) under one contract.
In this role, the West Region Transportation Program Management Services Lead will develop relationships with clients seeking these services. Specific duties include:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Water Resources Engineer to join our Climate Adaptation and Water Management, and Design and Engineering Teams based in either San Francisco, CA, or Los Angeles, CA.

Role accountabilities:
As a Senior Structural Water Resources Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects, including those focused on shoreline stability, flood risk reduction, and waterfront infrastructure resilience. Your responsibilities include leading structural analysis, design, and construction efforts for climate adaptation projects, such as seismic risk reduction, flood mitigation, and infrastructure resilience initiatives. You will serve as a project manager and technical lead across a diverse range of projects, overseeing design development, evaluating solutions, and guiding construction implementation. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is essential to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions that align with industry codes and standards. You will also be responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion within established timelines. Travel may be required for project-related activities, including client meetings and site visits.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
15+ years of relevant experience
Professional Engineer license in California
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
Structural Engineer license in California
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Progressive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects related to water management, flood control, and seismic resilience.

**Responsibilities & Qualifications**
**Job Description**
- Provide electrical, communications, fire alarm, and process control design services in water and wastewater treatment plant facilities, pump stations, and lift stations.
- Provide office services during construction for related projects.
- Prepare plans, specifications, and cost opinions for design projects.
- Perform field data collection in conjunction with design projects.
- Prepare electrical studies such as condition assessments and feasibility studies.
- Perform electrical system computer modeling for short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
**Qualifications**
- Education: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in power distribution design. AutoCAD skills are preferred, Civil 3D design capabilities, a plus using AutoCAD MEP or REVIT.
- Certifications and Licenses: PE required.
- Experience with medium voltage electrical distribution, fire alarms, short circuit, load flow, coordination, and arc-flash studies using computer modeling.
