We are seeking a highly capable Head of Physical Security to develop and implement physical security strategies at our company. You will be creating security policies and procedures, controlling budgets for security operations, acting as the liaison between company executive policies and security vendors, as well as managing the daily routines and techniques, tactics, and procedures of our on-site contracted security staff.
To ensure success as the Head of Physical Security, you should possess extensive knowledge of surveillance, de-escalation, and intervention techniques with experience in a similar role. Our ideal Head of Physical Security will be someone whose extensive background in security results in a safe and well-protected environment.
Responsibilities:Collaborating with senior leadership to determine physical and electronic security needs of the facility Planning and implementing comprehensive security programs and strategies including emergency action response, incident reporting, and company wide safety training Supervising, developing work schedules, allocating tasks, and monitoring the performance of contracted physical security personnel Respond quickly in any emergency situation up to and including the use of physical force to re-establish a safe environment for all Astranis employees Develop, train, and communicate emergency evacuation procedures to all employees and conduct safety drills and training as required Personally responsible for establishing and performing recurring daily/hourly patrol routes throughout the facility Report into the office after hours and on holidays when necessary to respond to or facilitate security operations Gathering relevant intelligence from local sources and implementing preventative measures Preparing electronic surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facilitating repairs in a timely manner, including all physical access control points and security badge readers Keep abreast of new technologies and advancements in security services Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standard local security guidelines, and all other applicable laws of the United States, State of California, and City of San Francisco
Requirements:A minimum of 10 years previous law enforcement experience in a congested urban environment or prior military service in an advanced operational capacity Extensive experience in preventing illegal activity and performing access control procedures In-depth knowledge of security procedures and electronic surveillance equipment Knowledge of local security industry regulations Advanced ability to coordinate responses to security breaches and threats Superb leadership and organizational abilities Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Availability to respond to security situations outside of business hours Must be here in our San Francisco office five days per week

Reporting to the SVP of Infrastructure, the Head of Information Security will be responsible for information security and compliance across the organization. We are looking for a leader to continue enhancing our overall security posture in efforts to protect against growing and evolving threats. The ideal candidate has extensive experience fostering a DevSecOps culture while implementing and executing security and compliance frameworks, policies and controls in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Build upon existing security and compliance practices, ensuring they continue to meet the business needs and culture of the organization Collaborate and partner with leadership to define and communicate goals and objectives with measurable KPIs to support the organization's security and compliance requirements Initiate, maintain, and revise company security and compliance policies and procedures Audit and test all aspects of information security to ensure that all information owned, collected or controlled by or on behalf of the company is processed, stored, and accessed in accordance with applicable laws and other global regulatory requirements, such as data privacy Serve as an internal information security consultant to various stakeholders to assist / advise / educate on all aspects of information security and compliance Define and manage security incident response processes and procedures to deter, detect, delay, deny and defend against external and internal threats Participate in third party (e.g. vendor) assessment and selection procedures to ensure adherence with established security and compliance policies and standards Work with teams throughout the organization to improve security awareness and foster compliance.Stay current with evolving industry trends in security and compliance

Required Qualifications:7+ years of experience in information security and compliance with growing success in leading the discipline / practice / program within a fast-paced environment5+ years of application security, infrastructure security, identity access management, architecture review & design, and business risk analysis Hands-on knowledge of information security functions such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, incident response, data privacy and protection, and software testing techniques3+ years of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, SOC 2) One or more relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CISA, GSEC) Solid writing and communication skills with a focus on information security and compliance Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders Effective organizational and time management skill Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to policies and procedures Professional, team-oriented attitude with sound judgment and analytical skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects Ability to work independently and efficiently Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline preferred

In this role, you'll focus on one or more cybersecurity functions and partner with a team of experts to ensure our technology teams are building solutions that enhance our security from all angles. You'll spearhead ongoing IT security control initiatives and may oversee a team of IT managers.
