*What you will do:*
The *Senior Ultrasonographer* is under the general supervision of the office manager and registered professional nurse. They provide care for patients and families of any age regardless of gender within the office setting. Through the provision of basic care, the Senior Ultrasonographer participates in the restorative, health maintenance and wellness plan as defined by the health care provider. The Senior Ultrasonographer is also responsible to all the NYS required QA
*Responsibilities:*
* The Senior Ultrasonographer will participate in the collection process of client information and reporting to the health care provider.
* Interview patient / family in order to collect client data regarding the client's health status.
* Participate in the formulation of a multidisciplinary plan of care.
* Provides input into the prioritizing of patient needs.
* Continually evaluates the progress towards established goals in order to have input into updating the plan of care.
* Use of Sonographic equipment
* Obtains appropriate specimens from patients for testing; prepares and sends out specimens to appropriate lab.
* Completes medical records accurately and in a prompt manner.
* Maintains sterile technique when appropriate.
* Explains procedure while administering.
* NYS required QA
* Other duties as required
*What you will need:*
* 2-3 years of hospital or office based ultrasonographer
* Associates Degree required, BA Preferred
* Current ARDMS registration
* Ability to lift 20 lbs.

Responsibilities
Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.
Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, record patient test results and report results.

Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
One or more of the following required:
Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sonography Tech obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
