    GENERAL CARDIOLOGIST The Christ Hospital Health Network and The Christ Hospital Physicians Heart and Vascular Institute are seeking a General Cardiologist to join its existing Cardiology practice. This individual will be a fully integrated cardiologist in our practice and service line. The successful candidate will quickly establish collaborative relationships with TCHHN medical staff leadership and physicians. The candidate will actively participate in clinical care delivery, quality outcomes, strategic direction, program development, research coordination and outreach. This individual will serve as a key contributor in the hospital's effort to achieve recognition as one of the nation's top ten community hospital-based cardiovascular programs. Candidate must be level III and board eligible or certified in echo and nuclear and have the ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio State Medical License and DEA. Approximately 25% of new admissions per year to the NYC jail system will receive care on the mental health service. This service strives to provide safe, holistic and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for the diverse range of mental health issues that face the population, from serious mental illness to the natural struggles that accompany incarceration. The service provides some of the most comprehensive and unique treatment modalities in the country, including specialty housing units for individuals with serious mental illness, a 24-hour on-call psychiatric service, robust creative arts programming, a strong DBT training program, clinics in each of the facilities, substance use treatment, integrated re- entry services, and relationships with multiple training institutions throughout the city. Staff physicians provide primary care to patients in jail-based clinics, perform intake evaluation and treatment and provide emergency care with the support of Emergency Medicine physicians. The healthcare system is a single-payer system that requires no physician time dedicated to billing. No administrative work is expected outside of work hours, promoting career/life balance. Physicians work as part of a care delivery team with strong administrative support staff, integrated nursing and mental health. Responsibilities: Completes comprehensive histories and physicals on all new admissions. Diagnose and treating acute and chronic illness Evaluates the need for consult services and submitting the prioritized consult when indicated Reviews all on island/off-island specialty consult clinic and hospital returns.
