POSITION SUMMARY

The Health & Safety Inspector is responsible for facilitating compliance with OSHA regulations and ensuring a safe work environment with safe work practices. Key functions include:

  • Develop and implement a Health & Safety Program with policies for, but not limited to, hazards, PPE, maintenance, inspection, and investigation.
  • Conduct safety inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
  • Conduct post-incident investigations to determine cause, if it could have been prevented, and if training was provided.
  • Prepare and conduct monthly and annual safety training for employees.
  • Responsible for maintaining and ensuring Material Data Safety Sheets.
  • Develop and implement an Emergency Action Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years health and safety related experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to use MicroSoft Office Suite.

WORK SCHEDULE

This full-time position works regular business hours Monday - Friday . Weekends are your to enjoy.
