POSITION SUMMARY
The Health & Safety Inspector is responsible for facilitating compliance with OSHA regulations and ensuring a safe work environment with safe work practices. Key functions include:
- Develop and implement a Health & Safety Program with policies for, but not limited to, hazards, PPE, maintenance, inspection, and investigation.
- Conduct safety inspections, prepare written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
- Conduct post-incident investigations to determine cause, if it could have been prevented, and if training was provided.
- Prepare and conduct monthly and annual safety training for employees.
- Responsible for maintaining and ensuring Material Data Safety Sheets.
- Develop and implement an Emergency Action Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years health and safety related experience in a manufacturing facility.
- OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification preferred.
- Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills to use MicroSoft Office Suite.
WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time position works regular business hours Monday - Friday . Weekends are your to enjoy.
