The Fish Health Manager lead';s a team of 5-8 associates responsible for receiving animals and ensuring the overall health and husbandry of all animals in the building. The Fish Health Manager is knowledgeable on common fish diseases, water quality, and life support operations. As a valuable member of the Distribution Center Leadership team, the position is accountable to maintain a safe and clean work environment and to ensure consistent application of organization policies and procedures.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

A Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and/or extended experience working with freshwater aquarium fishes (e.g. fish store, public aquarium, or personal aquarium keeping).

The Global HSES Risk Manager is accountable for assuring global HSES risk assessment competency and that high severity/high probability risks are being mitigated through necessary prioritization, training, and resourcing.
Characteristics:

This is an experienced professional with education in engineering or related field and experienced in chemical manufacturing. This role requires a hands-on, results driven individual with strong project management skills and the ability to build relationships quickly. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a framework of risk management strategies, policies, standards, and initiatives designed to assist the organization in managing HSES risk.

Responsibilites:

Determining and managing Lubrizol's risk profile. Ensure organization understands potential loss and impact internally and externally. Overseeing the organization's risk management process. Develop risk strategies, objectives, processes, and policies that will establish the framework, tools and procedures to achieve effective risk identification and management. Regularly verify the effectiveness and execution of the risk management process and tools. Develop plans for improvement, including partnering with operations Engage and partner with sites, operations, and executive leadership to support cooperative responses and prioritization of risk management matters. Influence priority and focus. Provide guidance and training to promote risk control awareness, ownership and accountability. Provide direction and facilitate support to site risk strategic action plans. Leverage internal subject matter expertise and external resources (e.g., AICHE, CCPS, Texas A&M) to assist with risk analysis and drive continuous improvement. Use data to drive results and support intelligent risk taking. Work closely with Corporate Risk Management Director to drive continuous improvement in global loss prevention and HSES risk management programs. Ability to travel (global) - 30%



Experience, Qualifications, Skillsets:


Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, HSES, or a related field. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum 7 years of experience in chemical manufacturing Project management experience, PMP certification a plus Experience in health, safety, environmental, security and process safety risks Process safety certifications a plus Knowledge and experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis methodologies

Develop and implement a comprehensive **safety** management system. This includes providing leadership and support for the line-driven safety process, behavior-based safety, ergonomics, fire prevention, security, industrial hygiene, hazard communications, and other safety and health related program.

Ensure the plant maintains its VPP Star status. Serve as the plant's laser safety officer and radiation safety officer (positions required by OSHA). Coordinate new chemical screening and approval programs. Establish and manage contractor safety programs.

Manage the **industrial hygiene** activities including medical surveillance, air monitoring, noise, laser, ventilation, hazard communication, new chemical screening/approval and radiation safety. Establish and manage the radiation program including monitoring, inspection, and reporting.

Provide guidance on **regulatory and legislative matters** (OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, WC) and oversee government compliance inspections and activities. Develop written programs, procedures and policies to ensure compliance.

Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Occupation Safety and Health, or related field plus 4-6 years of safety and health experience or a Master's degree with 2-4 years of experience. M.S., ASP or CSP preferred.
