Production lines work smarter with custom engineered robotic solutions from Nordson Industrial Coating Systems.
Key Responsibilities
Conducts various inspections in line with federal regulations, safety standards, and corporation programs and policies.Assists in accident investigations and coordination of corrective actions. Conducts follow-up on safety observations, near miss reports and incident reports.Conducts/ assists with ICS New Hire Orientation of employees for the AMH campus.Conducts inventory of hazardous chemicals throughout the AMH campus and maintains the Safety Data Sheet database per 29 CFR 1910.1200 Hazard Communication Standard.Drives the execution and audits of crane and powered industrial vehicle inspection program.Maintains follow-up on Safety Committee action items, accident reports, near miss reports, and equipment damage reports. Includes entry of report data into database for trend analysis.Performs safety maintenance including maintenance of safety signs, other minor safety equipment and inventory of equipment.Assists in facilitation of routine training such as CPR, First Aid, Emergency Response, Powered Industrial Vehicle, etc.Assigns learning management system safety training and inputs training documentation into the learning management system in compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.Provides EHS support during 6S events, Job Safety Analyses, PPE Assessments, and campus projects.Performs annual review of Environmental, Health, and Safety procedures.Facilitates and supports quarterly waste shipments and maintains hazardous waste storage areas through weekly inspections.Assigns learning management system safety training and inputs training documentation into the learning management system in compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.Maintains the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans and Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan and conducts routine inspections based on EPA and permit requirements.Creates, modifies, and troubleshoots security system functions at AMH campus using access control security software.Update of campus KPIs through Visual management boards.Assists in industrial hygiene monitoring.Assists in planning, facilitation, and follow-up of EHS engagement activities.Individual must be a visible presence throughout manufacturing and lab areas to continuously reinforce safety awareness.Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED is required. Vocational training or higher education in the environmental, health and safety field is preferred.Minimum two years' experience in safety and health compliance and/or five or more years work experience in an Industrial Manufacturing or Chemical environment is recommended.Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).Must be able to work in a team environment and effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions.
Preferred Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organization, and interpersonal skills.Experience in Emergency Preparedness Training and Emergency Response is preferred.Should have general knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, RCRA and other applicable regulations and standards to answer routine questions and problem solve for multi-department functions.
