While (s)he will help the OCW meet the broad needs of Wellstar clinicians, the Consultant should have a particular passion and understanding of how to help medical residents adjust to the demands of medical training, responsibilities associated with their new role, etc. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Clinician Support Collaborates with OCW psychologist(s) to review Comprehensive Well-Being Panels to support interventions for individual clinicians as well as teams. Helps to develop care pathways to support Wellstar clinicians in preventing occupational burnout and/or intervening to manage/mitigate occupational burnout. Supports OCW clinician retreats, including data interpretation, provision of 1:1 feedback, and post-retreat follow-up, as needed. Participates in the Clinician Support on-call schedule to triage needs and help connect clinicians with needed coaching and/or connection to quality mental health resources, as needed. Leads or assists in leading initiatives that fall under the AMAs Joy in Medicine Support pillar (e.g., coaching, in-basket cross coverage, removing stigmatizing credentialing language). Is able to show efficacy and outcomes of support initiatives. Conducts 1-1 consults with clinicians to make appropriate support recommendations and follows up as needed. Other Responsibilities Work closely with the Graduate Medical Education (GME) training directors to develop resident-specific programming to mitigate the stress associated with training, cultural adjustments, managing work-life responsibilities, etc. Partners with other members of the OCW to develop processes to routinize the assessment of well-being among Wellstar residents and other clinicians. Partners with the Wellstar Resident Well-Being Council to identify upstream methods to reduce work-related stress and advocates for resources for residents as needed. Participates in clinician well-being councils; OCW research, strategy, and operational meetings; team events (e.g., retreats, camaraderie) and other team forums to carry out departmental priorities. Collaborates with the OCW Clinician Psychologist(s), Peer Support Program Manager, other members of the OCW team, and clinical leadership (e.g., residency directors) on initiatives aimed at improving clinician well-being. Education/Didactics Offers Grand Rounds on topics that highlight research related to medical resident well-being throughout the course of the year. Gives presentations on a range of well-being topics to a clinical audience, locally, nationally, and/or internationally. Socializes well-being science through participation in podcasts, clinician well-being newsletter spotlights, etc. Provides guest lectures to medical residents and on request from other Wellstar departments. Research/Quality Improvement Assists with novel translational research and quality improvement (QI) initiatives, which aim to scientize the field of well-being and develop high-impact initiatives that enable purposeful contributions for Wellstar clinicians. Supports other OCW team members by functioning as peer reviewer to aid in the refining of concepts and helping the OCW develop a robust but high-quality research program. Conducts reviews and advises on QI or research projects by identifying psychological measures/tools that could help demonstrate the effectiveness of projects. Responsible for informing the community and creating awareness about Borinquen Medical Centers (BMC) services, including: substance use, mental health, HIV prevention, and prevention education on the risks of substance misuse, HIV/AIDS, and STDs. Performs duties associated with evaluations and treatment of children and adolescents who have caused sexual harm. Provide clinical expertise and serve as the clinical lead on multi-disciplinary teams. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Clinical Skills Plan and facilitate individual and family therapy and co-facilitate group therapy using evidence-informed and evidenced-based approaches while observing program model fidelity. About the Job The Children's Advocacy Center of SW Florida (CAC) is a busy non-profit agency located in Fort Myers serving Lee, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades Counties. At CAC, we offer abuse determination services for children as well as therapeutic counseling, parenting education, and prevention programs. CAC is seeking a qualified full-time clinical therapistfor the Family Alliance Program. The position provides trauma-based therapy to children who have been abused and to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Work hours vary from Monday through Friday and may include a minimum of two evenings per week.
