PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

6. Identifies opportunities for quality improvement activities in the department.

8. Ensures compliance with the Joint Commission and other organizational and regulatory agency
standards with quality indicators and core measures with on-going education.
9. Monitors and ensures compliance with staffing guidelines, utilization and productivity to meet financial goals.
10. Communicates staff, equipment needs and concerns to Manager/Director as appropriate.

Work Experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Education: Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
* Licensure: Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
* Certification:
* Certification (s) as required by specific unit.
* Successful completion of all post-hire requirements, including, if applicable for role, Level II background screening/fingerprinting.
* Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification.
* Experience: Must meet unit specific care requirements.
* Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
* Must be able to speak/understand written and verbal instructions in the English language. Maintain all educational requirements outlined by regulatory entities and the organization. Proficiency in MS Office, electronic record and other systems and software relevant to role. Concentrate on multiple priority activities.
* Respond appropriately to life threatening situations.
* Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks; Corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
* Lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
* (Exception: IV Therapy); Lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift (Exception: IV Therapy = 15 lbs).
* Stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
* Potential for exposure to bio-hazardous waste, and known or unknown diseases.
* Work often in stressful environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
