Responsibilities
The Health Services Administrator (HSA) is responsible for managing the overall operations of the contracted clinical program at a designated correctional facility or complex of facilities within a Centurion contract. Additional responsibilities include planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising the clinical program providing services to patients in a correctional setting to meet service deliver requirements of the specific contract.
Qualifications

The Opportunity…
We are seeking a Chief of Behavioral Health Services who will provide clinical and administrative direction, oversight, and consultation in all areas related to behavioral health services for the Ohio Department of Youth Services (ODYS). Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Ensure the agency is providing evidenced-based clinical services for all youth in the custody of ODYS as evidenced by quality assurance measures and program improvement protocols;
* Provide clinical and administrative oversight of non-medical behavioral health services, including program development and fidelity, mental health and other special housing units, and compliance with policies and procedures;
* Ensure the quality of service delivery and clinical documentation;
* Provide leadership for the development of training and professional activities; collaborate with the ODYS Medical Director, Director of Nursing, Psychiatrists and with MHAS, DD, other state agencies as needed, as well as institutional, regional, and central office staff;
* Participate as needed in recruitment and retention efforts of behavioral health staff;
* Stay abreast of best practices in the fields of behavioral health, juvenile justice, and related fields, and provide leadership to ensure standards of ethics and professionalism are upheld, as well as the use of best practices in behavioral health services;
* Complete onsite visits to facilities to meet with administrative and behavioral health personnel to discuss issues of mutual concern and problem solving;
* Develop policies, procedures, and programs for the provision of behavioral health services for the agency for the delivery of services in the facilities under ODYS jurisdiction;
* Act as liaison and consultative support to facilities, regional offices, Release Authority, and private providers regarding behavioral health services;
* Provide support and guidance to facility Program Deputies and Behavioral Health Service Supervisors;
* Provide peer and clinical review of difficult cases; provides direct consultation for the most difficult and complex cases;
* Participate in professional development, educational activities, and related activities.

ResponsibilitiesBelow is a list of your responsibilities as a Health Services Administrator (HSA) at YesCare:
- Manages the healthcare delivery system and coordinates with the other functions within the institution.
- Manages the budget and financial performance of the site. Submits timely and accurate reports to supervisor and/or corporate office.
- Develops and/or supervises the facility operational plan. Directs the activities of the assigned staff.
- Manages labor ensuring the site is staffed according to contractual commitments and supervises staff scheduling.
- Coordinates or participates in the interviewing and selection of staff and Independent Contractors. Ensures orientation of new Corizon personnel by conducting or coordinating all initial new hire and annual orientation and training activities.
- Ensures site utilization and compliance with all Corizon and applicable client systems and applications.
- Coordinates the Medical Audit Committee and facilitates the monthly meetings.
- Secure and Maintain Accreditation/inspections (i.e., PREA, ACA, NCCHC, etc.) at a time specified by management for the Facility. Ensure site compliance with correctional and Corizon policies and procedures.
- Coordinates with Hospital Administrators and other external providers the delivery of services at hospitals or other external health services locations outside the institution.
- Adheres to and enforces all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Ensures annual performance evaluations are conducted and completed with all personnel, including peer reviews.
- May ensure CAPs (Corrective Action Plans) are completed accurately and timely for submission.
- May counsel and discipline employees as warranted by breach of Corizon policies and procedures.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment in decision-making process, planning, directing, conserving, and controlling the management of the facility.
- Attends meetings, Regional and Corporate, as required.
- Coordinates the Annual Health Services planning process for the site.
- Accepts on-call cell phone responsibilities.
- Upholds all rules and regulations governing patient confidentiality.
