The Medical Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering, setting up, picking up, and troubleshooting Durable Medical Equipment (DME). As the face of the company, the Medical Delivery Technician provides exceptional customer service, embodying our core values of E mpathy, P assion, I ntegrity, and C ommitment in every interaction.
Deliver and install Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in a safe and timely manner.
Provides delivery, pick up, and maintenance of all types of home medical equipment and medical supplies.
Safe operation, organization, and maintenance of a company-owned vehicle.
Educates patients, family members, and caregivers on proper and safe use of equipment.
Minor repair and equipment troubleshooting.
Thorough and accurate completion of all paperwork, trip logs, and van inventory checklist.
Organizes and maintains equipment according to company policies.
Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of equipment of varying weights.
Navigating different sized areas to deliver and install the equipment.
Picking up equipment and bringing equipment back for sanitation.
What We're Looking For:
Valid state-issued driver's license in the state where the employee works, required.
High school diploma required.
1 year of delivery and/or customer service, strongly preferred.
Candidates should possess a safe driving history and will be required to complete a background screening as part of the hiring process.
Must be 21 years of age to meet the coverage requirements of the company's auto insurance.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment of varying weights.

Processes and issues routine and specialized medical/surgical supplies and instruments used in the care and treatment of patients. Cleans, high-level disinfects/sterilizes, and packages medical and surgical instrument trays and inventories.
Responsibilities:
1. Assembles baskets of instruments, basin sets, and equipment using appropriate check lists and prepares for sterilization.
2. Assembles sets of supplies and instruments used in a variety of clinical settings. Checks for cleanliness and functionality (i.e. sharpness of scissors, smooth movement of hinged instruments, etc.)
3. Decontaminates, disinfects and thoroughly cleans supplies, instruments and equipment used in a variety of procedures.
4. Distributes instruments, equipment and supplies to appropriate location.
5. Monitors and maintains adequate levels of supplies, instruments and equipment.
6. Monitors equipment for malfunctions. Makes minor repairs. Notifies appropriate staff of need for more major repairs.
7. Demonstrates proficiency in reprocessing and maintenance of endoscopes and other endoscopic equipment per high-level disinfection (HLD) policy and manufacturer instructions (IFU). Maintain scope washers and washer adapters. Check detergent levels and effectiveness of disinfectant as per policy. Effectively communicates information regarding scope repairs, loaners, supplies and QI information by maintaining documentation of all actions. Wears PPE as per policy, maintains supplies needed for cleaning and reprocessing, and communicates effectively equipment failures and needed repairs. Accurately records data in appropriate logs.
8. Interacts with equipment according to manufacturer guidelines demonstrating a thorough knowledgeable of instrument and equipment IFUs and processes instruments.
9. Wears PPE as per policy.
10. Maintains supplies needed for cleaning and reprocessing and communicates equipment failures and needed repairs effectively.
11. Accurately records data in appropriate logs.

What We're Looking For

What will you do as a PMC Sterile Processing Tech
As a PMC Sterile Processing Tech, you will serve as an essential part of the patient's experience by performing a variety of duties related to the care and reprocessing of GI flexible endoscopes and accessories. The process includes meticulous manual cleaning of Endoscopes, leak testing of scope, instrument inspection, and scope washer operations.
A day in the life of a PMC Sterile Processing Tech may include:
Performs all components of reprocessing, high-level disinfection, care, and maintenance of GI endoscopes and equipment.
Responsible for care and maintenance of Automated Endoscope Reprocessors, including monitoring and changing of high-level disinfectant; testing and documentation of disinfectant efficacy; changing of disinfectant and troubleshooting AER problems.
Tests all equipment to verify proper working condition. Reports malfunction to supervisor.
Perform and verify Quality Indicators are within range.
Assists with the input of information into the database.
Effectively communicates information regarding scope repairs, loaners, supplies, and QI information by maintaining documentation of all actions.
Accurately records data in appropriate logbooks.
Assists with the ordering and restocking of supplies.
Assists with patient transport, procedure monitoring, room turnover, and instrument/equipment processing.
Assists room personnel with patient preparations and positioning according to departmental policy.
Assists in documenting and labeling specimens as the physician performs the endoscopic procedure.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Sterile reprocessing, gastroenterology, or endo tech experience preferred.
Previous experience as a Sterile Processor Tech preferred.
Knowledge of surgical procedures, policies, and protocols desired

Under the supervision of the Sterile Processing supervisor and the Director of O.R., the Sterile Processor ensures proper care and maintenance of all surgical instrumentation, equipment, and sterilization processes. The Sterile Processor must demonstrate good knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic techniques, must have knowledge of equipment, instruments, procedures and supplies used in the operating room. The Sterile Processor must be able to work under pressure and in situations that demand patience, tact and endurance.
