About the role HealthFitness is seeking a skilled and experienced Building Engineer to join our team in Libertyville, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all facility systems, including boilers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and pool equipment. The ideal candidate will perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs while upholding all safety and compliance standards. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED 3 - 5 years of experience in a commercial business, preferably health care, hospitality, or fitness center Strong mechanical skills to trouble shoot all major systems, including pools, pumps, HVAC, electric, plumbing, steam. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is required within 60 days of hire. Experience tending various types of boilers leading to high pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment required. Training and/or experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of specialized equipment, fixtures or systems related to heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and/or swimming pools required. Experience in the use of computerized energy management and preventive maintenance systems.
