QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Must be a licensed dentalassistant in the state of Minnesota.
Must be able to perform all duties within the scope of practice established by regulations and rules of the State of Minnesota and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry that the dentist(s) delegates. For newly established functions, must complete applicable credentialing or certification requirements in a reasonable period of time after appropriate training is available.
Proven ability to perform as a part of a team composed of dentists, dental hygienists, licensed dentalassistants and clerical staff.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have good visual acuity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands and arms.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (60 minutes or longer).
Proficiency in English is required. Proficiencies in other languages may be required.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. To provide quality dental care to patients within HP/GHI dental facilities, incorporating elements of customer service. Responsible for performing all dentalassisting duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Able to perform all duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
Responsible for knowledge and performance of clinical emergency procedures.
Responsible for implementing policies, procedures and treatment guidelines.
Assist providers directly in all phases of dental care delivery.
Responsible for the proper maintenance of patient care related equipment, supplies and processes.
Uses appropriate systems, automated or manual, to record and maintain accurate patient records and other information.
Responsible for awareness of the daily activity in the clinic and/or to provider staff being supported.
Responsible for schedule management and patient follow-up.
Perform other related duties as directed by the Dental Lead or Clinic Management Team.

Current dental hygienist license in MN and an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene (where required)

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods sitting and standing
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times

Job Summary
Provides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.
Responsibilities
Obtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam
Explain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients
Ensure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure
Draw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing
Perform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions
Respond to all lab messages and call back requests
Perform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations
Ensure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure
Conduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis
Prepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
Maintain complete and accurate documentation
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
We have opportunity for part-time (3 days a week) Coordinator (CMA or LPN) at our Hutchinson Clinic. The Medical Assistant/LPN will manage the patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients. No holidays or weekends.
Education, Training or Degree Required:
Medical Assistant Program Graduate or LPN registered in State MN
License/Registration/Certification Required:
Current LPN license in the State of Minnesota or Medical Assistant certification or registration preferred.
Current CPR certification required
Experience and Skills:
Previous Medical Assistant or LPN experience in a clinic setting preferred but not required.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients served, along with appropriate support services to MD, NP and PA required. Familiarity with legal and insurance requirements related to documentation within the medical record required.
Strong human relations, written and verbal communication skills required. Ability to work without direct supervision.
