Regions is seeking an experienced Psychologist with an interest in and/or expertise with Pain Management to join our Interventional Pain Management team.
The Pain psychologist - PhD/PsyD, LP will provide specialized psychological assessment and evaluation, consultation, education, and patient/family support, as necessary. The position requires the practice and understanding of pain psychology with assessment of adult and geriatric patients. Special areas of focus include pain and trauma. Additionally, the pain psychologist will be called upon to evaluate patients referred by neurology, neurosurgery, medical spine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, among others. Interested candidates will have ample opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary care for appropriate patients. This position is responsible for hiring, training, and performance management of staff. Service excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members.

Required Qualifications:
Possession of a Doctoral Degree recognized by the Board of Psychology. Certified competency in a relevant clinical area.
Two (2) years of post-doctoral supervised experience meeting the requirements of the Minnesota Board of Psychology for licensure at the doctoral level. Recommended that at least one of these years should have been spent in the study and practice of pain psychology and related neurosciences. These two years should include supervision by a licensed clinical psychologist.
Licensure as a doctoral level psychologist in the State of Minnesota. Certified competency in a relevant clinical area. The ideal candidate is board certified or board eligible and has special interest/expertise in pain psychology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience practicing as a pain psychologist in a neuroscience medical setting, working collaboratively with specialty physicians including pain physicians, neurologists, neurosurgeons and behavioral health clinicians.
Experience practicing as a pain psychologist in the assessment and evaluation of pain (e.g., musculoskeletal, trauma, and surgical).
Experience practicing as a pain psychologist in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Our program incorporates psychiatry with psychotherapy to holistically treat clients in our care supporting them in gaining skills to be successful at home, in school and in the community.
As a Day Treatment Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Therapist your focus will be on assessment, treatment, and prevention services to children, adolescents, and their families as well as consultation with the school staff working with the student. This role is a highly collaborative function, and you will experience exposure to a multidisciplinary team working in collaboration with a variety of experienced professionals to ensure the best care for the children and families in your care.

Psychotherapist starting pay begins at $75,254.40 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
Salary range: $68,939.12 - $103,441.54 per year

Qualifications (Psychotherapist)
Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related Human Services field required.
State of Minnesota licensure required, need to have one of the following:

Day to day responsibilities
Work closely with patients to support maternal mental health
Provides diagnostic, psychological, or biopsychosocial evaluation and executes therapeutic treatment toward defined goals for patients and families across a life span (ages 0 - 100+).
Works to strengthen motivation and commitment to specific change goals through a collaborative, goal-oriented style of communication using motivational interviewing and evidence-based psychotherapy in close collaboration with medical providers.
The focus will be on immediate, flexible format (brief intervention), and close collaboration with the medical provider. Orientations such as Motivational Interviewing, Focused Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (FACT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindful Self - Compassion, and Behaviorism will be emphasized.
Assists in staff development through consultation, education and supervision as well as assist in program development when requested.
Successful candidates will have training, experience, and interest in outpatient assessment, medical knowledge, crisis intervention skills, psychotherapy and teamwork. Preferred candidates will have knowledge and/or experience in behavioral health within a healthcare setting.
