Job Purpose: This position provides psychotherapeutic clinical interventions to children/adolescents (ages 0-17) with mental illness, developmental disabilities, substance abuse, medical disorders, or a combination of those conditions. The basic objectives of the psychotherapist are to reduce psychiatric symptoms, reduce the frequency and duration of in-patient hospitalizations, promote recovery, and enhance community-living tenure and functioning. Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate documentation to include diagnosis, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries as well as participating in required meetings such as clinical supervision, case consultation, and department and agency meetings. Maintains a 75% or better productivity for billable services monthly. Writes effective treatment plans, monitors progress, and documents Outcomes. Continually assess client risk and act accordingly. Participates in supervision, clinical collaboration, and clinical consultation. Maintains a thorough case file or client record by documenting services in a timely matter. Complies with RaSC, CARF and other program evaluation activities. Continually seeks to improve knowledge base and skill development to maximize client outcomes by attending in-service training and conferences. Completes necessary paperwork for insurance billing. Complies with Federal law, WI law c.51. and administrative regulations, community mental health (DHS 35), clients rights (DHS 94) and confidentiality (DHS 92) regulations, and agency policy and procedures.
