Mr. Scott has been our Chief Financial Officer since February 2017. Prior to joining Healthpeak, he served as a Managing Director, Real Estate Banking Group of Barclays, a financial services firm listed on the London Stock Exchange from 2014 to 2017. Mr. Scott's experience also includes various positions of increasing responsibility at the financial services firms Credit Suisse from 2011 to 2014, Barclays from 2008 to 2011 and Lehman Brothers from 2002 to 2008. He received a Bachelor of Science from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Scott Brinker is a BOARD MEMBER at SUNRISE SENIOR LIVING INC, SVP at WELLTOWER INC., and President/Chief Invsmt Officer at HEALTHPEAK PROPERTIES INC. and is based in Toledo, Ohio. He has worked as Exec VP/Chief Invsmt Officer at HEALTHPEAK PROPERTIES INC. and SVP at Medical Director. Scott works or has worked as BOARD MEMBER at Silverado. He studied at Yale University between 1995 and 1999 and University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business between 2008 and 2010.

Shawn G Johnston is an Exec VP/Chief Acctg Officer at HEALTHPEAK PROPERTIES INC.. He has worked as Chief Accounting Officer at American Residential Communities, VP/Interim CFO/Chief Acctg Ofcr at UDR Inc., and VP/Chief Acctg Officer at UDR Inc.. Shawn attended University of Denver.

Thomas Klaritch has been our Executive Vice President — Medical Office Properties since April 2008. From October 2003 through April 2008, he served as our Senior Vice President — Medical Office Properties. Prior to that, Mr. Klaritch was a founding member and Chief Financial Officer of MedCap Properties LLC, a real estate company located in Nashville, Tennessee that owned, operated and developed real estate in the healthcare field. (HCP acquired MedCap Properties LLC in October 2003.) He has over 32 years of operational and financial management experience in the hospital and medical office sectors. Mr. Klaritch is a certified public accountant.

Chief Legal Officer of Healthpeak Properties, a publicly-traded S&P 500 healthcare REIT. Responsible for execution of the legal aspects of all enterprise initiatives and key real estate and financial transactions. Experienced C-suite executive with extensive legal and business acumen in the healthcare REIT, as well as the hospitality and gaming industries. Purposeful leader with integrity and thoughtful judgment demonstrated across decades of solving complex issues collaboratively. Member of Healthpeak’s Investment Committee, Chair of the Management Disclosure Committee, and Vice Chair of the ESG / Sustainability Committee. Recognitions include: 2018 General Counsel of the Year and the 2019 Orange County 500 (influential business leaders) by the Orange County Business Journal, and 2020 Power List for Lawyers of Color.
