* Enters detailed notes to update eRequest to provide details if the alert/edit cannot be resolved or must be rerouted to another responsible party for research/resolution
* Escalates alert/edit resolution issues as appropriate to minimize final billing delays
* Monitors the aging of accounts held by an alert/edit, prioritizes aged accounts first, and reports to leadership
* Works with team members in billing, revenue integrity and/or the Medicare Service Center to resolve alerts/edits
* Communicates coding revisions to the applicable party (e.g., CIS, lead, manager, international log)
* Completes MOCK abstracts as necessary (e.g., combining the codes for outpatient claims subject to the payment window)

**Position Overview:**
As a Regulatory Affairs Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will support the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance by managing and organizing information to demonstrate on-going state and federal regulatory compliance and legal requirements for the multi-state College. In addition, the Coordinator will support the institution by assisting in the coordination and organization of multiple facets of the process required for continued compliance with the College's state regulatory agencies.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accreditor and state and federal regulatory agency rules and regulations. Ensure the College is aware of and incorporates changes in law or interpretations.
2. Prepare, review, and edit materials required for applications and site visits.
3. Organize and interpret regulatory report data and identify strategies for improvement in maintaining compliance requirements.
4. Coordinate and organize data and other information in support of ongoing state and federal regulatory compliance, which includes preparation of annual state reports, collaborating with other stakeholders and departments as required. Ensure information and reports are in line with regulatory rules and regulations.
5. Support efforts to achieve state board of nursing and state board of education authorizations in order to expand the postlicensure programs in states outside those with a current physical presence; obtain and maintain state authorizations or exemptions.
6. Understand college operating procedures, institutional benchmarks, and external guidelines and benchmarks, consumer disclosures, and other required compliance elements.
7. Maintain effective and standard operational processes and documentation.
8. Support training programs to improve compliance with policies and regulations.
9. Monitor local, regional, and national publications for news and events that may impact the College.
10. Prepare responses for signature, summarize lengthy correspondence and follow up to ensure proper and timely action is taken.
11. Operates independently, assisting faculty and staff in the absence of department leadership.
12. Other duties as assigned.
**Position Requirements:**
+ Education: Minimum of an earned bachelor's degree. Minimum of three years of experience in higher education or related field, including multi-location office setting. Experience in regulatory reporting and interpreting data preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent judgment, problem solving, analytical abilities with high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and organize projects to meet deadlines.
+ Special Qualifications: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must be highly organized with ability to work in a team environment, multitask, and prioritize projects. Must have an ability to respect at all times the confidential nature of the work and information in the Executive's office.

**Position Overview:**
