KMBC-TV/KCWE-TV has an opening for a Receptionist to serve as administrative support to the station and assist other departments. You will provide support by performing several tasks that contribute to the daily operations of the department. The Receptionist will serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them; notify company personnel of visitor arrivals; maintain security, clerical tasks and operating the telecommunications system. The position is expected to report 8:30a - 5:30p Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday.
Responsibilities
Welcome visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone.
Provide information to viewers and answer and refer inquiries.
Ensure security by managing guest logbook and issuing visitor badges.
Sort mail and receive delivery packages.
Open and close visitor area.
Maintain safe and clean reception area.
Requirements
Excellent communication skills, whether in person or on the telephone.
Customer focused; must have integrity in handling client inquiries/requests.
Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
Applicants must be personable and dependable.
Able to work with minimum supervision.

Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premier or similar) and comfort with newsroom workflows
Team-oriented, proactive, and coachable; able to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shoots
Your first day at the station is set aside for orientation which Must be attended. Plan to work one to two days a week, eight hours each shift with varying schedules. Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Business, or Jazz Studies, or related discipline or equivalent experience

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Music Education, Music Performance, Music Business, or Jazz Studies, or related discipline or equivalent experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Band and/or Orchestral instruments, with previous experience being advantageous.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine passion for music education.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
Ability to travel, possessing a valid state driver's license and automotive insurance.

Job Responsibilities
This employee will maintain the following:
Production equipment including robotic camera systems, production switcher, play out servers, graphics devices, lighting systems, weather systems, audio consoles, and other gear used in production.
News-gathering equipment including ENG cameras, field gear, ENG, DSNG, and SNG trucks, editing systems, and support devices.
IT systems and associated hardware and software. This includes infrastructure and end user support.
Transmitter sites, microwave central receive sites, satellite antenna systems, signal distribution and routing systems, processing systems, monitoring devices, and automation systems.
Qualifications Requirements:
Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to plan and execute equipment installation, research/design, and detailed documentation of work.
Knowledge of desktop and server operating systems.
Networking support of various LAN/WAN devices and systems.
In depth knowledge of video production/television systems.
Must be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members.
Must possess a positive attitude and driven by successful problem solving.
Flexible to various work shifts and days off as assigned.
