Mike brings over 20 years of medical device industry experience to Sonitus. Prior to joining Sonitus in June 2012, Mike accumulated broad cross-functional experience in medical device companies of various sizes with products in diverse therapeutic areas. Mike served as Senior Vice President of Science, Technology & Operations for Ventus Medical where he led the R&D, manufacturing, clinical, quality, regulatory and reimbursement functions for this venture-backed company with a novel device for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. While at Ventus, Mike led the organization through several product launches, the completion and publication of 7 clinical studies, and the scaling up of manufacturing to support commercial launch. Additionally, Mike held various positions in the Cardiac Rhythm Management business of Guidant including leadership roles in R&D and project management as well as roles in field clinical, design and manufacturing engineering. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
