This role will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging products on an assembly line or independently in a manufacturing facility. A Williams Assembler works with a team to ensure the efficient and accurate assembly of products while adhering to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities: * Assemble components and parts following detailed instructions. Stay updated on changes in assembly processes and product specifications. * Read and understand the bill of materials and work order instructions, blueprints, or technical drawings * Complete assembly tasks, use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and presses (may use cranes and hoists); Responsibilities may also include specialized work such as tube bending and soldering. Meet or exceed production targets and quotas. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve daily and monthly targets. * Monitor and request materials and components as needed for assembly. Keep track of inventory levels and report shortages. * Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Perform quality checks by established quality procedures and ISO requirements. Identify and report defects or issues in the assembly process and necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure product quality. While reporting to the Site Lead, you will be responsible for help keeping the new reel assembly line going in a quick and safe manner. In this role, you'll be responsible for assembling wooden reels used for wire, cable, and other industrial applications. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools and takes pride in building durable, high-quality products. Responsibilities: Assemble wood reels using hand and power tools according to specifications Collaborating closely with other departments and teams Having the ability to think on your feet and troubleshoot problems and situations Making incremental process adjustments, monitor and report quality of manufactured product. Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area. Performing all duties as designated by supervisor/manager. Performing all duties in support of Sonoco's quality and safety policies. Helping out other departments as needed Requirements: Previous experience in warehousing environment is extremely helpful. You have to have a “get it done” attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks. Working independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed. Timken Aurora Bearing Company is seeking an Assembler (2nd Shift) that will perform a variety of functions within our Aircraft department while adhering to the safety, quality and productivity standards of Timken Aurora Bearing Company. Assembler Job Responsibilities Perform all duties as assigned in a safe and efficient manner with an emphasis on quality. Follow Company and departmental procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality. Follow all safety rules including Lock Out / Tag Out procedures and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition. Report any unusual conditions or situations to Lead Person or Supervisor. Set-up and operate all production machinery within the Assembly Department, including but not limited to: Presses; Select and change press dies, pins, and stake, stamp and fit fixtures, install shims when necessary. Adjust hydraulic pressure and stroke length as instructed and needed. Laser Marker; Select and change fixtures, plates, rods and spacers if needed, select correct program. Ink Jet; Change format, adjust track and speed. Change to rotary or track position. Electro Etch; Select and change pins, pads, settings, use correct solution. Ovens; Select and change temperature, timer settings. Fit; Select and change fixtures, pins, shims. 2pc Swage; Select and change dies, pins, install bushings. Swage; (Spherical Inserts) Select and change dies, pins, shims, springs. Sign out all necessary gauging equipment from Q.A. and set gauges per print specifications. Check part for fit, center, stake, stamp, proper marking - visually; by touch or with appropriate gauging as required. Run 1st piece part when required, make appropriate adjustments to attain quality characteristics per print specifications and complete necessary paperwork to attain a set-up approval. Load parts as instructed, cycle equipment and check parts at designated intervals and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality characteristics of part per print specifications throughout operation. Move parts to and from work area and scale as needed. Wash parts before running. Maintain all machine fluid levels.
