SUMMARY: We are looking for an addition to our Maintenance Team that has a background in electronics troubleshooting ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties to include but not limited to installation, set up programming, trouble shooting and repair of machinery, instruments, controls and related equipment. Individual will demonstrate advanced electrical trouble shooting skills, a through working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and the ability to install and maintain electrical systems. Work from sketches, equipment manuals, basic designs, specifications and verbal instructions. Continue to keep abreast of new developments through study, schooling, etc. as necessary. Principal Duties/Responsibilities: · Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. This includes but is not limited to: observing devises in operation to location root cause of problem; dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; examining parts to detect imperfections; adjustment of functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair and/or replacement of defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; and performing tests for electrical circuitry and mechanical systems; reconditioning and repairing machine tools. · Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. · Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards. · May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks. · Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards. · Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings. · Updates records and reviews CMMS history. · Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems. · Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. · Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development. · Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required: · High School Graduate or equivalent (GED). · Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program. · Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs. · Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate · May be required to travel. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. Job Summary: The Utility Technician is an entry level role. They will work closely with experienced shop and field techs and assist them as needed. They may be asked to perform repairs based on their skill set. Job Responsibilities: Perform daily and operational activities in the service department to include the following, but not limited to: Assist all service team members as needed Clean parts, scrape gaskets, prep for assembly Clean and prep all rental equipment Maintain safety and cleanliness of work environment Assist with lube truck work as needed Travel to jobsites and vendor training sessions as needed All other job duties as assigned by Service Manager, Rental Foreman, or Shop Supervisor Job Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or equivalent, a 2 year technical degree or comparable military training is preferred Experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field a plus Excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills. Proficient with a computer, including the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and diagnostic use using manufacturer provided programs. Must have a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions. Ability to stoop, kneel, push, pull, twist and carry and lift up to 70lbs. Ability to climb and perform work on heights of 15 feet Able to work in all types of weather conditions Maintain excellent customer service Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen
