Office located at 900 E 23rd Ave in Hutchinson KS RESPONSIBILITIES FOR REAL ESTATE LOAN CONSULTANT Looking for an experienced Real Estate Lending Consultant to help current and prospective members in the Hutchinson area find the right solutions for their real estate lending related needs. Responsibilities include: Guides member through the borrowing process. Interviews, takes applications, and processes preliminary documentation on loan requests. Discusses loan alternatives, credit criteria, interest rates, and loan documentation in such a manner as to elicit positive responses from members. Analyzes and evaluates loan requests and prepares written submission for consideration. Maintains communication with the member throughout the loan process to answer questions, handle requests and resolve problems. Performs follow-up work as necessary to achieve conditional approval within established time frames. Works with the real estate community to build trusted referral relationships, for the purpose of originating real estate loans. Informs members of HCU loan policies and services. Counsels members regarding money management and financial matters. Counsels members whose loan requests were denied, explaining reasons and alternatives. Maintains and projects HCU's professional reputation. Keeps members properly informed of HCU loan policies and services. Provides superior service to our members. Pro-actively supports and advances HCU's brand and culture. Performs all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS FOR REAL ESTATE LOAN CONSULTANT High school graduate or equivalent. One to two years of related mortgage/real estate lending experience required. Understanding of the foundation of determining credit worthiness. Familiarity with title reports, insurance, and appraisals. Real estate background helpful. Strong interviewing skills. Excellent communication and public relations abilities. Strong analytical and financial skills. Sedentary work; stationary most of the time. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license. Requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008.
