Summary
* The Epic Scheduling Template Specialist is responsible for the design, build, optimization, and maintenance of provider scheduling templates within the Epic Cadence module. This role serves as a bridge between clinical operations/access teams, and IT, ensuring that scheduling templates align with organizational access goals, provider preferences, and operational efficiency standards. The Template Specialist works to enhance patient access, streamline scheduling workflows, and support enterprise initiatives such as Open Scheduling, Online Appointment Requests, and Provider Template Standardization. This position will be employed by Mosaic Life Care.
Duties
* Develop, configure, and maintain provider scheduling templates in Epic Cadence, including visit types, slot utilization, and scheduling template documentation to ensure templates reflect accurate provider availability, location details, and department specific scheduling rules.
* Partner with operational leaders to validate template design against clinic workflows and patient access targets. This includes collaboration with clinic leadership, access managers, and Epic analysts to align template standards and ensure consistency across departments.
* Audit and refine existing templates to improve scheduling accuracy, identifying if there is a need for overbookings and enhance slot utilization.
* Analyze access metrics such as third next available appointment, fill rates, etc. to identify template adjustments.

Qualifications
* Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field or three or more years of related experience is required.
* CAD100 PT Access Fundamentals within 180 Days required. CAD201 Cadence Admin required.
* 3 Years of experience in healthcare scheduling operations, Epic Cadence, or template management required. Prior involvement in large-scale scheduling standardization or optimization initiatives preferred. Experience with Epic tools such as Template Editor, Template Search, and Appointment Review workflows preferred. Knowledge of Epic MyChart scheduling workflows (Open Scheduling, Direct Scheduling) preferred. Familiarity with Patient Access KPIs and scheduling optimization methodologies preferred.

Summary

* Ensures that all Conditions of Participation, regulatory standards and Standards of Care are being met, as per corporate policy and procedure and reporting variances or concerns to the program director in a timely manner.

* Recruits, hires, orients, supervises, coaches, and is responsible for the professional development of Hospice Director(s) of Clinical Services, with pre-hire approval from Regional Vice President.
