**Heat Treat Trainee - 2nd/3rd Shift (East Peoria Building KK)**
**Summary:** Are you looking for an opportunity to learn a specialized skill within a manufacturing environment? Caterpillar in East Peoria, IL is looking to train new employees that desire to become our next employees in Heat Treat. The Metal Treating Specialist Trainee program is a paid program designed to provide a unique learning experience for highly motivated individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in manufacturing and learning new skills. Positions may be available on all shifts after training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks at the facility. Upon completion of the program, individuals will be responsible for:
+ Set up, operation and adjustment heat-treat equipment to perform carburizing, cycle annealing and die quenching of gears Physical Qualifications (With or Without Accommodation)
+ Will work in environment that has extreme temperatures
+ Work in environment with frequently changing temperatures
+ Stand for a minimum of 8 hour shifts
+ Frequent walking, bending, reaching
+ Occasional stooping, crouching, and climbing
+ Repetitive grasping, pushing, pulling rotating
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or previous work/volunteer experience
+ Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures
+ Basic computer skills
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends
