Experience with pipe and/or utility work is a plus. We are seeking someone who is motivated, hands-on, self-starter with a proven track record.

Essential Job Summary:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the loading, pushing, and transferring of solid waste material in our transfer station. Operate heavy duty equipment such as excavators and bucket loaders (yellow iron equipment), with various other small machinery
Routinely set up and inspect equipment prior to operation
Have knowledge of machine capabilities and limitations
Observe hand signals, grade stakes, or other markings when operating machines to perform work duties in compliance of safety specifications
Receive written and oral instruction regarding material movement
Move materials over short distances, around facility
Maintain an efficient flow by loading transfer trailers to target load weight and reduce traffic congestion
Create and maintain inclines or ramps
Repair machinery and replace parts as needed
Work Environment:
Daily exposure to physical environment including odors, loud noises, weather elements, etc.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
High school/GED education completed; higher education is a plus.
Minimum 2 years' experience as Equipment Operator required.
Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
Fluency in English required, Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Duties Description Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor for projects and instructions, the Construction Equipment Operator operates a variety of self-propelled and other equipment in the maintenance and repair of roads and grounds and in the control and removal of snow and ice. Such equipment includes backhoe, bulldozer, forklifts, loader, sweeper, snowplow with rollover and wing attachments, farm tractor and dump trucks. Incumbents of this position are considered essential personnel.
Performs tasks indigenous to equipment operated according to instructions received from the Maintenance Supervisor who makes work assignments, provides general direction on how the work should be performed, and assigns equipment and materials to be used. Work is checked in progress and at completion for adherence to instructions and standards.
The position performs responsibilities in accordance with all current and amended, DMNA policies and procedures, federal and state statutes, and where applicable, the contract bargaining agreement and requirements of the National Guard Bureau (NGB), specifically the Master Cooperative Agreement (MCA) and supporting regulations. The position may report to state and/or federal supervisory personnel.
Specifically, duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
* Checks fluid levels, tire pressure, safety devices, control mechanisms, and friction adjustments prior to operation.
* Mounts, adjusts, and dismounts major assemblies such as plows, blades, mowers, and salt spreaders.
* Starts, stops, steers, and controls equipment and its attachments in a safe, efficient, and effective manner to perform assigned tasks.
* Monitors gauges and fluid levels of equipment during operation.
* Maintains daily records of work performed and materials used.
* Performs physical labor tasks as required.
* Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and assists mechanics in equipment maintenance and repair.
* Pumps gas or other fuel, adds or drains water and/or antifreeze to radiator, oil to crankcase, air to tires, and hydraulic fluid to reservoirs.
* Changes oil and lubricates, changes tires, changes spark plugs, replaces burned out of broken lamp bulbs, and replaces oil, fuel, air, or hydraulic filters. Assists mechanics in removing and installing heavy items such as engines and transmissions.
* Uses a variety of hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers to perform routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and operational adjustments on equipment.
* Washes or steam cleans trucks and other equipment.
* May be called upon to provide on-the-job training and instruction to other workers in the operation and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
* Incumbents of this position are considered essential personnel.
* Will complete and attend training as required.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
* Knowledge of the operation of a variety of self-propelled and other equipment.
* Basic knowledge of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law as it applies to the safe and legal operation of assigned equipment.
* Basic knowledge of the routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs needed by equipment.
* Ability to operate assigned equipment in a safe and effective manner.
* Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
* Ability to perform heavy physical labor.
* Demonstrate reliability and trustworthiness.
Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in the operation of construction and/or maintenance equipment, or other vehicles in excess of 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) with air brakes and manual transmission.
AND
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle in the State of New York. May be required to utilize vehicles for site visits and other travel. Must report any changes in driver's license status to supervisory chain of command.
May be required to acquire and maintain a military driver's license to operate military vehicles and equipment in accordance with NGB standards to include medical evaluation requirements - current and as amended.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to read and write in English.
Must be able to operate and maintain tools, machinery and equipment required for craft to which assigned.
Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry heavy objects and equipment of at least 50 pounds.
Must be able to work outside in various temperatures and inclement weather for extended periods of time.
In accordance with NGB standards, will be required to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation, and have an appropriate clearance to allow access to computer networks and restricted areas to determine suitability, loyalty, and trustworthiness. Minimally a National Agency Check with Inquiry (NACI) will be completed - dependent on current regulation, a SECRET clearance may be required.
* Other combinations of education and work experience, including military, may be considered, however, candidate must demonstrate direct relevance to the job duties noted above.

About the role
The Loader Operator will operate front-end loaders, roll-off trucks, forklifts and other heavy equipment to push waste into the tipping pit, separate and load non-processable materials from tipping floors or pits, and transports material to various other facility buildings from the tip floor and metal storage areas.
This individual will load ash into trucks from the ash building, unders/primary/secondary soils from designated storage areas, biomass material from designated building, belt and floor rejects from RTI, and ferrous processed by DMR from west bunker.
This candidate will communicate with traffic control operator on tipping floor to maintain steady flow of traffic and provide code numbers of loaded material to truck drivers removing material from the site. This will include providing Reworld hauling tickets to driver prior to leaving the scale house.
Performing safety and operational inspections as well as small preventive maintenance procedures daily, including pressure cleaning of the equipment assigned to this position; completing PM sheets and work orders as required. Refuels equipment when required and replenishes fluids including pollution control and regeneration equipment.
Reporting unsafe conditions, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to the Operations supervisor is a requirement.
This individual should be knowledgeable of the correct DOT weight requirements for OTR trucks as well as safety procedures and pre-caution for working around tipping floors and large amounts of traffic. Familiar with hazardous material, safety and environmental policies as well as spill prevention measures. Familiar with GHS (MSDS) requirements for all material pertaining to heavy equipment operations.
Position Requirements:
High School graduate or general education degree (GED) Six months to one year related experience and/or training in similar situation. Experienced in operating heavy equipment such as front-end loader, roll-off truck and forklift with some mechanical competency. Internal candidates must have completed qualification standards for prior position in company's line of progression.

Primary Responsibilities
As a Field Technician, you'll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. With real-time information at your fingertips, you can determine the root cause and corrective action for each issue quickly, enabling you to work smarter, not harder.
* Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
* Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
* Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of rental and customer equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment
* Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
* Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
* Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
* Be knowledgeable of OSHA requirements (preferred)
* Field Mechanic: When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
* Year-round company provided OEM training
* Other duties, assigned as needed

Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Must own tools applicable to position
* Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
* Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams
* Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
Education and Experience:
* High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred
* Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred
* Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to move, stand, stoop and bend freely
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
* Field Technicians may be required to be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
* This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen

Job Overview:
We are seeking reliable and experienced Snow Equipment Operators to join our winter operations team. As a Snow Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for clearing snow from our commercial client locations including entry roads, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe access for vehicles and pedestrians during winter weather events.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, skid steer, dump trucks and other snow removal equipment safely and efficiently

$35-$50 dollars an hour, depending on experience.
The Heavy Equipment Technician (Yellow Iron) reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Technician is personally responsible for performing complex preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of operational equipment (Trucks and Yellow Iron).
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Repairs as needed equipment (including, but not limited to, bulldozers, skid stears, front-end loaders, yards trucks, tractors, forklifts, and company vehicles).
Diagnoses and repairs differentials, hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, drives, air conditioning systems, and electrical systems.
Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
Completes records such as work orders, card files, P.M. checklists, and oil samples.
Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants, water pump, welders, and other equipment.

Additional Responsibilities
Maintains advanced knowledge to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on heavy equipment (heavy equipment includes but not limited to: yellow iron machinery, tractor trailers, forklifts, and other diesel trucks)
Performs repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services.
Estimates time and material cost on vehicle repairs and requisition of new parts.
Conduct safety checks on vehicles.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting part usage, and accounting for repair time.
Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company safety protocols and OSHA standards.
This position will have no direct reports, however they will work in collaboration with the other yellow iron diesel mechanic on staff, although on different shifts.
Assists Sr. Technicians in the completion of project work.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
A valid driver's license is . CDL a plus.
At least 5 years
of experience in job duties.
Sanitation or construction industry experience a plus.
Computer diagnostic experience as diesel technician a plus.
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, CAT, Peterbilt, and Paccar.
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations.
Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues, drivers and dispatch, and be able to make legible entries on reports and records.
Must be able to meet the physical and safety requirements of the position.
Must be able to provide own tools
