    Job Description A Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver is a flexible schedule position that allows you to work when you are available (on-call, as needed). The position is responsible for driving a truck or equipment for snow removal or salt dispensing and/or operating equipment used in the snow or ice removal process. As a Snow Removal Equipment Operator/Driver at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job: Be experienced in driving in winter weather conditions. Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested. Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events. Safely drive a snowplow truck or salt truck in various and potentially extreme weather conditions including snow, rain, ice, etc. Operate snow or ice removal equipment such as front-end loader, plow truck, skid steer, and sidewalk machine (ATV, RTV, etc.) Follow all company policies and procedures. Perform any other duties as assigned. JOB SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Must be self-motivated POSITION REQUIREMENTS Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards is required for operation of vehicle. This is not required for equipment operation. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently 1-2 years of experience running snow/ice removal equipment, is preferred WORK CONDITIONS Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate with snow removal activities.
