2. Operates jackhammers, compaction equipment, tractor powered rotary cutters, zero turn/riding mowers, concrete/ asphalt/ all purpose saws, and other small equipment and tools to maintain streets, sidewalks, easements, right of ways, and drainage systems.
3. Works with and assists the line crew in digging ditches, canal cleaning, pump station cleaning, culvert installation, pole holes, hoisting material, tools, grass cutting, equipment, and any related work in Streets, Bridges, and Drainage.
4. Utilizes basic carpentry and masonry skills to construct catch basins, drainage inlets, aprons, sidewalks, driveways, street panels, concrete pipe joining and/or repairs.
5. Performs street/ parking lot striping, installation of preformed thermo-plastic pavement markings, and application (airless sprayer, roller, or brush) of industrial coatings.
6. Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to supervisor; cleans equipment.
7. Cutting of grass and brush using pole saws, chainsaws, string trimmers, and powered rotary mowers.
8. Maintain accurate records (Daily Worksheets)
9. Perform general janitorial work, including cleaning of restrooms and building facilities.

Education and Experience:

3. An equivalent combination of higher education and experience.

Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area and emulsion distribution rates.
Before heating the oil, ensure that all valves are in the off position, and the oil completely covers the heating pipes, and truck controls are set for proper circulation and ventilation.
Constantly monitor temperature, heat oil with confines of recommended temperature.
Spray oil in designated areas before paving operations begin.
Attendance required according to Company Attendance Policy to ensure crew can operate at normal efficiency level.
Attitude/cooperation: always maintaining courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers and public.
Must be flexible with last minute schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes
Overtime work required. Out of town or county work may be required
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary
Must adhere to PPE (personal protective equipment) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition as supplied by company

QUALIFICATIONS:
