About the Role:
As an Intermodal EquipmentOperator (also known as a Terminal Operator), you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within our intermodal yard. You'll operate specialized equipment-such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders-to load, unload, and relocate containers as part of our daily logistics operations. Your work ensures containers are handled accurately and safely, keeping freight moving on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment preferred
Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
Ensures that work meets compliance standards within facility operation.
Inspects and cleans and washes equipment.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. Secures materials and equipment at end of day.
Performs additional duties as needed.

Summary/Objective

Checks work sites for potential hazards; determine precautions for safe equipmentoperation. Assembles and sets up appropriate traffic control at work sites as required by projects.
Completes seasonal and emergency maintenance work as required.
Cleans and maintenance equipment.
Washes equipment, cleans inside of equipment, inspects equipment for damage, and conducts repairs and/or preventative maintenance as required. Ensure the replacement f equipment as required.
Performs additional support duties as required.
May be required act as interim Crewleader in the event that the Crewleader is absent.

responsible for departmental equipment and resources, but does not participate in the annual
budget process. Employee is responsible for daily record keeping for cost accounting purposes.

Job Summary
The Experienced Heavy Equipment Finish Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment on a construction jobsite in a safe manner. They will stay current on GPS Grade Control Systems, ensuring their ability to effectively and efficiently operate all necessary equipment. The Experienced Heavy Equipment Finish Operator must complete prestart checks, assist with fluid checks, securing the equipment, cleaning, and other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Operatingequipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer's guidelines
• Performing daily maintenance and safety checks along with routine maintenance on equipment and machines
• May operate trucks to transport equipment to and from job sites as required

Decision Making: This person must have the ability to identify and correct road surface

course of action, but in some situations different options must be considered. Employee is directly
responsible for departmental equipment and resources, but does not participate in the annual
budget process. Employee is responsible for daily record keeping for cost accounting purposes.
