About the Role
TREO Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join operations at the Port of New Orleans. In this role, you will lead the maintenance team while also performing hands-on maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment. About this Role
R. R. Cassidy is a local heavy construction company that specializes in deep foundation drilling, driven pipe pile, and caisson work in the electric power industry, and is looking for a full-time Heavy EquipmentOperator.
The ideal candidate must have a strong work ethic and is knowledgeable in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines.
Candidates will be required to do groundwork to help crews out as needed.
Candidates must be willing to travel throughout the Southeast United States 80%-100% of the time.

What You'll Do
Operates and monitors performance of heavy construction type equipment, such as bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, excavators, marsh buggies, forklifts, shovels, etc.
Learn and follow safety regulations.
Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using loaders, excavator, skid steers, shovels, and/or other types of equipment

What You'll Do

High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
MUST be able to pass physical
MUST be able to pass DISA drug screen
MUST be able to pass background check
MUST be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toe boots, safety glasses, & gloves)
MUST have NCCCO Crane Certification
Required Skills:
MUST have experience with operating an EXCAVATOR, SKID STEER, Marsh Buggie & BULLDOZER (1 year minimum preferred)
Knowledge of reading blueprints can be helpful
Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Good verbal and written communication
Ability to use good judgement and act independently
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures.
Maneuvering motorized heavy equipment to ensure the accurate removal and placement of materials.
Loading and offloading rocks, debris, and other materials from heavy equipment.
Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
Inspection of the machinery before and after to ensure that it is in good working condition. If upon inspection, some defects or issues are found, the operator will report them so that they can be addressed appropriately.
Perform daily checks on equipment
Rendering regular repairs and maintenance as needed.
Reporting more serious defects for repair by an authorized service provider.
Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
Excellent physical strength & stamina
Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

Must have reliable transportation (Will be required to travel up to a 60 mile radius)

Based on experience
Weekly Pay
Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
Schedule:
Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
10-12 Hour Days (with weather permitting)
