What You Do
Perform pre-shift, and pre-operation, safety analysis of all the mining equipment at the site;
Operate various mining equipment at the project site performing earth moving and road watering duties as needed, such as:
Komatsu Mining Fleet
Haul Trucks (100-Ton Capacity)
Front End Loaders (6-yard bucket)
Shovels (19-yard bucket)
Operate all equipment in a safe manner;
Perform minor maintenance checks on the equipment such as fluid levels and belt quality;
At various times will be required to help with some manual labor functions to help maintain the site, i.e. shoveling dirt, fence mending, small rock movements;
Become knowledgeable of all MSHA and Cal-OSHA regulations related to equipment and road maintenance and
Maintain equipment maintenance and operations records.
Additional duties as assigned.
What You Bring
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience operating large mining-related equipment;
An effective communicator;
Self-starter needing minimal oversight and direction;
Able to read and fully understand all equipment handbooks and guidelines
Able to analyze equipment gauges and warnings as needed
Adhere to safety policies and standards. We must abide by manufacturers limits on our equipment including an operator seat capacity of 350 lbs. or less.

Additional Information: The hourly range offered for this position is $31.34 - $39.18 per hour.
