Hiring immediately. We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a skilled heavy equipment operator, specifically a backhoe, CASE Extendahoe preferred for sewer & water main service repairs/replacements. We utilize a Four Stick, Foot Swing Backhoe.
This position is paid on a commission basis with a guaranteed minimum hourly rate. This averages to a range between $60,000-$80,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Equipment operator on residential and commercial job sites.
Follow OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety procedures.
Work with a crew to complete excavation work.
Interact with customers as needed.
Maintain excavation equipment.
Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
Requirements
Construction experience (residential and commercial).
Load, unload and secure equipment on transport trailers according to guidelines.
Current CDL Class A license
Trenchless water main, sewer & gas experience is a plus.
Work a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends.
Complete jobs within specified timelines.
Must have 2 years experience.

Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Heavy equipment may include wheel loaders, excavators; screening, crushing, and material conveying systems; street sweepers; skid steers; and other similar equipment. The Heavy Equipment Operator must also clean, inspect, and secure all equipment and perform minor preventative and other maintenance on his/her equipment.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and all company policies and procedures.
* Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks.
* Perform minor preventative and other maintenance.
* Clean equipment as scheduled or necessary.
* Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
Basic Required Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* 1+ years experience using a wheel loader/front-end loader
* Willingness and ability to work in non-climate-controlled environments, including working outdoors
* Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, gloves, Tyvek coveralls and respirator
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the workday

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Blue World is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to start immediately in our New Jersey office. We are looking for a candidate with experience operating hydraulic excavators, dozers, and loaders in varying soil conditions, working varied shifts in the field under various climates. Experience with excavators from mini to 80,000 lbs. excavating trenches for pipes/conduits, foundations, loading haul trucks, light clearing/demo, minor grading and similar tasks is preferred. This position requires a person willing to be a “jack of all trades,” in that operator experience is necessary, but the ability to hop off the machine and work within the crew performing other tasks such as maintenance, prep, clearing/cutting, pipe installation above/below ground, welding, minor carpentry, HDPE fusion and other field construction tasks is required. The ideal candidate must also have an excellent work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills, have a team mentality, and be safety-oriented in all situations and environments.
