The Equipment Operations Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational availability of laboratory equipment across clinical and research environments in adherence to Veracyte's equipment lifecycle management program. About the Role
We are helping our client, a leading company in autonomous vehicle technology, find Heavy Machinery Operators to join testing operations in Morgan Hill, CA.
You'll safely operate and maintain 20-ton mining vehicles, perform detailed inspections, and support the testing and readiness of large-scale autonomous mining systems. You'll also provide valuable feedback to engineering teams to improve performance, safety, and reliability.
What You'll Do
Operate and maintain 20-ton mining vehicles and other fleet equipment
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs
Report maintenance or performance issues promptly
Support hardware/software testing and share clear written and verbal feedback
Maintain strict safety and compliance standards
Travel up to 50% for field operations and testing
What We're Looking For
5+ years heavy machinery operation experience
Comfortable driving and backing 20-ton vehicles
CDL A a plus (not required)
Able to pass DOT drug test, MVR, and physical
Clean driving record:
≤2 minor moving violations (last 3 years)
No serious violations (last 5 years)
No DUI/DWI/reckless (last 10 years)
No preventable accidents (last 3 years) or DOT recordables (last 10 years)
Strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork
Interest in autonomous/driver-assist technology
Schedule & Training
12-hour shifts with alternating 3-on/4-off then 4-on/3-off
Initial training in Sunnyvale, CA during week one

Heavy equipment operator job in Fremont, CA
The Loader Operator I is responsible for operating heavy equipment and trucks, setting up equipment for auction in yards and helping customers during and after auctions.
Experience operating heavy machinery.
Able to operate a large 36,000 lbs forklift is an asset.
Good spoken and written English is required.
Good computer skills and able to learn new programs quickly.
A track-record of working safely, and helping others work safely, too.
You must be able to relate well with customers and team members.
