They must have the skills and experience to diagnose and perform repairs on a wide variety of trailers, tractors, and heavy equipment. They must possess a broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and technological principles. Responsibilities: Subject matter expert for installations, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer's specifications. Travels on-site to operate, inspect, and diagnose malfunctions/defects. Develop relationships with new and existing customers. Perform product delivery demonstrations throughout the company and at customer facilities. Promote the company's products and services. Read, understand, and interpret operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical drawings. Maintain quality standards and ensure installations and repairs conform to factory specifications. Ensure all work completed is in accordance with all company polices DOT, OSHA and other governmental standards and regulations. Safe Handling and disposing of hazardous wastes, such as, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, auto parts cleaner, and similar material that comply with safety regulations and guidelines. Successfully complete factory authorized training. Prepare for jobs by checking parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness. Properly complete assigned paperwork as instructed. Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of company's assets. Maintains a high awareness of technical changes related to the industry and products sold and serviced by the company. Perform other duties as assigned that assist with achieving company goals. Requirements: Must have 7-10 years' experience in heavy duty truck, trailer and/or heavy equipment maintenance and repairs. Must have a valid driver's license, with no infractions in the last 5 years. Must have a strong knowledge regarding the safe handling and operation of trailers, tractors, containers, field offices, forklifts, power jacks, lift gates, power tools, trailer parts and supplies. Must have previous experience with refrigeration units, fabrication, suspensions, air brakes, electrical systems, hydraulics, body repairs and welding.Lift-gate experience a plus. Must present a professional, highly motivated, positive, result-oriented, problem-solving attitude. Must have excellent communication skills.
